I'm gonna be THAT fur mom for a minute. Some nights, Dahlia cuddles in as close as she can get to me but facing opposite directions. Other nights, she sprawls out near my feet, though we must always be touching. But on some special nights - nights like tonight - she gets as close as she possibly can, really wants me to wrap my arms around her and cradle her close, and drifts off into dreamland. I live for these moments. They're the nights I sleep the best, once I'm able to dial back my immense love and gratitude enough to fall asleep, that is. Oh, if this girl only knew how much she saves me. I pray she knows just how much I love her. I'm forever convinced she's heaven-sent. She thinks I'm healing her, and maybe I am. But my goodness... is she ever healing me 😭💕
