Something is lurking in the forest they said, something with sharp claws and fangs as big as your skull is wide. Something that spits acid strong enough to melt the flesh off your body in an instant. You don’t believe them. You know these woods, and you’d quickly know if something that dangerous roamed them. You set out to prove them wrong.
The leaves crunched beneath your feet as you walked. You had spent all day here and there was no sign of any unusual creatures. You knew it! There was nothing out here, not a single twig was out of place. As you walk it gets darker, and you suppose you should go back home. There could be wolves after all, you’ve heard them howling lately and you think a pack moved in not too long ago. You hear a crack behind you and a low hissing noise, you whip around. It wasn’t wolves.
Viper steps back from the thing on the ground and lets out a soft whine, he had done it again. He hadn’t meant to, but they had startled him and now... now they were a thing. Just like everyone else he met. He wiped the red on a tree, trying to get it off of him. He didn’t like the red, it always stained. Made it harder to forget what he’d done. He walks off, not wanting to be around the smell any longer.
