It is said that there’s a certain rare condition that is unique to Updike’s kind. One that cannot be caught, nor spread, rather, it develops inside.
The condition causes the person’s fur to spark at rapid intervals, sometimes just constantly for a little bit, and their minds to warp. They become skittish, and even hostile. They seem to forget all that they previously knew, feel the need to have as much fur exposed as possible, and feel the need to run, and run, and run. Where to? Well, no one is even sure if there is a destination...
It is not known what exactly causes it, but luckily, there is treatment available. But first, the person must be caught and restrained.

No one knew that Updike was developing the condition. Heck, he probably didn’t even know. Or if he did, he was trying to hide it.
Well, it was all too late in the end. Updike had gone on a mission and hasn’t come back yet, and no one knows where he is. He’s not at the TGG, and he isn’t home.
He hasn’t been seen for days...
