They are actually more frequent in our life which gives us hope and motivation to live but we rarely are mindful of them.

They increase our performance by lifting our spirits

Here are few tips to get you going-

chit-chat with friends : - talk to friends and relative by video call, message or write to them, we have internet with accessibility to endless friends and relatives connect to people virtually if we can’t meet personally.

walk barefoot to feel connection : - we tend to sit more at home or we wear footwears which makes us feel restricted so remove your footwears and walk barefoot around your house to feel the ground and a connection with the earth will be felt by your body and mind.

Connect to lives : - indulge in gardening , water a plant or play with your pets, trust me they are the best non judgemental friends one can have in life. 

attitude of gratitude : - practice and develop an attitude of gratitude by being grateful for things we have and also things like food, netflix, internet and many more which we are enjoying in this pandemic. 

Let’s make some promises as a lifetime gift on this Rakshabandhan  Heya people! Happy Raksha bandhan!During these pandemic, flood and crisis times many of us are far away from our Siblings, cousins, half-siblings, step brother/sister , our soul brother/sister or I should say even brother/sister from another mother!

See how many kinds of brothers/sisters we have, so this raksha bandhan let’s make a promise to our brother/sister of being each other’s mental and emotional health supporter in all trying times of life:-

Promise to listen to each other: - sometimes we only need a person to hear us. so be that person to your brother/sister whom one can trust to speak and share about everything.-

Promise to be a support system: During tough situations, we tend to make rash decisions so it is best to provide a strong support system to fall on each other’s back, at any time.-

Promise to communicate: - no matter what happens, on what you had fight or contradict views but still promise to communicate in every situation. as through communication we can resolve many things, this always helps in stopping many mental and emotional issues.-

Promise to give love and attention: Materialistic things don’t give happiness always but our love and attention give a sense of warmth and security in tough times also.-

Promise to play your role:  People go through financial, career issues and also physical, mental and emotional abuse in many ways some or the other point of life so let’s promise to help each other by playing our honest role in such situations.

I thought of sharing my story with you all!!

Being overweight and having facial hairs because of Thyroid and PCOD, I have gone through lot and lot of body shaming almost every day and this disturbed me to an extent that I used to workout like nothing else is important in life and followed diet on festivals also to just reduce those extra kilos and to fit in the definition of being perfect girl by so called society.

I started going gym at the age of 16 only and,I really tortured myself for good 4 years by doing excessive workouts and diet, my body muscles used to be so sour that I was unable to sleep in nights because of muscle sourness.I lost weight but I wasn't happy and productive as I was pushing my emotional and mental limits.

Now as I developed a rare disease of myasthenia gravis my eyelids droop on usage of screens and as everything online people notice them more and say do something to make your eyes look good on camera, put kajal or something!!!But I'm comfortable with my body now, *I do workout and eat healthy for healthy body , not forcefully to reduce fix amount of kilos in certain days to fit in society's definition of perfect girl.

I do put kajal but when I feel like putting otherwise I carry on without kajal..I FEEL STRONGER IN BEING NATURAL

Problems of ulcers!  Digestive problems! Back or Shoulder pain since long!

Headache and many more physical pains or somatic/Bodily sensations are being complained by most of us and many of us couldn’t even get to know the cause of such issues in medical test or scans too!!

Ever wondered why?Being a Psychology and science student in my school days, I used to search a lot about this intriguing question, I could understand that most of the physical health issues have underlying psychological factors.

Stress, Anxiety, Depression or any Trauma gets manifested and showed by physical health complaints in the form of headache, ulcers, and many others.

We all think mostly Psychology is about treating mental disorders but that's not the case friends!

Psychology is much beyond than only curing disorders.

Psychology is about everything we do and live from education to work, marriage and parenting, career counselling and even about sports.

Health is a state of complete Physical, Mental and Social well-being and not only absence of disease or infirmary. - WHO,1948

On this note I would like to bring your attention towards a true experience of well-being, which is made up of Physical Health, emotional nurture, mental stimulation, focus, clarity and spiritual nourishment.

Holistic wellness includes the health of your body, your sense of emotional well-being, stress levels around work, finances, relationships, your social life and your sense of connection to the society and universe!!

Why are you going to therapist? Mental health??? Are you crazy? You're such a drama queen! Don't over think, relax, and think positive, you'll be fine!

The word "Mental" is itself is so stigmatized that on hearing or saying we automatically associates it with "mental disorders".

To be honest Mental Health is more than the absence of Mental Disorders, it is an integral part of health. It is determined by a range of socioeconomic, biological and environmental factors. Mental Health is also related to enhancing your qualities and strengths while dealing and working on our shortcomings too.
