Exploration, Maya!

Seven Checkpoints! 12 Hours Total of Driving! Follow the 'Exploration, Maya!' path from Quintana Roo to the Puuc Route and up the coast of the Mayan Riviera!

Please Note: Driving times in different countries vary, please do your own background research onto total time and gas you will be spending as you travel long stretches of highway with few gas or service stations on the way.

We at BLLR suggest you give yourself a solid turnaround time (ours was 2:30pm everyday) to allow for backtracking, traffic, police or military checkpoints, etc.

Road Hazards are plenty so be on the lookout for local hunters on bicycles, over-crowded buses straddling lanes, smoke from trash being burned in fields, and a lot of  locals walking and stray dogs you don't want to hit!

Remember, even if it seems like a straight shot to your destination, allow plenty of time and don't forget to bring money for the toll roads.
