In case you were wondering where things are at in the film and television industry here's how post-production folks (editors, VFX, Colorists, etc) are doing. These screenshots are from The Blue Collar Post Collective's FB page (they are an International professional network for folks working in post).
This one is from a few months ago...
These are all from the past few days (from 2 separate Anon posts re "where to find jobs")...
My former post-supervisor really fucked me over and I've been unemployed for months. At this point I'm applying to jobs in grocery stores cause it's just dead dead dead out there. Winter is always the time of year you don't want to be without a film or series to work on but this just abysmal.

Went down a bit of a fun rabbit hole today. I work in post-production, and just did a quick calculation of all the footage that we shot for our 43 minute TV episode.
It’s over 45 hours.
So, 1.6% of the footage that was filmed actually made it into the episode. 98.4% didn’t
And that’s for TV. Film will typically shoot more (unless it’s literal film, because that’s when it starts getting expensive since digital storage is way cheaper than physical film). Granted — we did have a fair amount of slo-mo footage in this episode, which eats time. But the rest of the shoot was very economical, so I think it probably averages out to a typical episode, for this show at least.
Anyway, I just thought that was kinda fun and wanted to share it with you guys, because I realized that a lot of people who have never been involved in a TV or film shoot would have no idea of the sheer scope of footage that goes into it.
^^^ Post-production continues on HotD Season 2. A break during an ADR (automated dialogue replacement) session featuring selfie taker Abubakar Salim (Alyn Velaryon) with Clinton Liberty (Addam Velaryon) and Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon - the Sea Snake himself!). Via Instagram.
A bit more about automated dialogue replacement...

My partner, Mary Ann Mahoney, and I did audio post-production on another documentary for frequent-collaborator Alex Arjoon of REEL Guyana, c
REEL Guyana has released a new eye-opening documentary called The March Onwards, which focuses on the conflicts faced by the local farmers and indigenous Warrau communities, and other environment issues. As @splitanatom, Mary Ann Mahoney and I teamed up with to provide dialogue editing, re-recording mixing, and sound editing for this documentary, which premiered at MovieTowne in Guyana on October 12th.
