alright kids this is how game of thrones really ended:
after Daenerys successfully conquered King’s Landing with minimal resistance and Cersei’s forces surrendered she ordered her forces to keep the enemy soldiers as prisoners of war for the time being but to leave them unharmed. after all they can’t be held accountable for the mistakes of their queen, right? Daenerys then comes to the conclusion that the only effective way to break the wheel is to break the symbol of the wheel. she has drogon melt the iron throne. she realizes that a monarchy is an ineffective way to rule and so instead suggests a council made up of the most prolific people in westeros to rule instead. Daenerys realizes that her duty is not to rule but to serve. to protect. she will go back across the narrow sea and utterly break the back of the slave trade. she suggests that Jon come with her but understands when he refuses.
Grey Worm goes with Daenerys but first takes Missandei’s body back to her home in Naarth
the Council is made up of Tyrion Lannister as Master of Diplomacy, Davos as Master of Commerce, Samwell Tarly as Master of Welfare, Brienne of Tarth as Master of Defense, and Sansa Stark as the leader of the Council. she is called the Hand of the People.
after Jaime dies killing Cersei, Brienne and Tyrion take his body to be buried on the Isle of Tarth. they both visit his grave often. Tyrion gifts Jaime’s golden hand to Brienne, who keeps it in a small chest in her chambers.
Jon Snow decides to travel North, beyond the Wall. he wants to help Tormund resettle his people. he promises Sansa and Arya that he’ll return, though he doesn’t know when. he bids farewell to Daenerys farewell and hopes to meet her again.
before Daenerys leaves she and Sansa make amends. the two, while different, form a friendship and grow to respect each other. Daenerys promises that she will return if she is ever needed.
Arya tells her sister that she feels too restricted and Sansa suggests that she travel. politics and restricted places were never Arya’s forte after all. Arya agrees and sets out on the King’s Road. after a time she comes upon a crossroads and there sitting to the side is Gendry, he explains that Sansa told him Arya would be passing this way. he tries to tell her that he still loves her and that he would give up his title to be with her but before he can finish she kisses him and asks him to come with her. he asks where to; wherever she goes he’ll follow. she says anywhere and everywhere. they run off together and live as outlaws. Sansa asks Davos to take care of Storm’s End, in case Arya and Gendry ever decide to settle down. he happily agrees. he’s used to taking care of Baratheons after all.
