...so maybe smaller reactions are just what i'm used to. but i don't know...! when i get any interaction on anything, i have to imagine the x amount of physical bodies it took to proceed in the interaction(s), utilizing any amount of energy to communicate "i saw this and enjoyed it". how charming!

i won't pretend like my preferred mode of communication isn't words -- or better yet, conversation -- over the click of a like button... it's just nice to get any amount of energy spent on what i've made. those who want to talk will make themselves known, and those uninterested will continue on. i'm not here to farm dialogues; i'm making things because i like to make them and i'm sharing things because it's fun to share them. anything else that i get out of it is a bonus...

i understand finding a lack of interaction disheartening, but it makes me sad to imagine this social-media-manufactured abscence leading to people giving up the act of creation or participation. who do you create for*?

if i could spread this attitude like a contagion, i would
