It sure didn't take them long to fill the free spot in 1-A that Mineta left behind from being expelled. Once news spread of the new transfer student -- an overseas transfer at that -- most students within the class began discussing him and only him. They wondered what kind of person he would be, or what his quirk was capable of, and if he would be a good mesh to their already established friendship among the whole class.
Most might not have expected the quiet redhead that walked through the door, but it didn't dampen Kirishima's excitement. He was another redhead, score!
The introduction in front of the class was short, but leave it to his best friend to make sure it had a terrible end. "Bakugou!" He scolded his friend, shooting the blond who spoke out a glare. That was not the introduction the new kid deserved simply over asking a question where to sit! Did Bakugou have to be so rude all the time?
His attention shifted back to the redhead as a sincere smile spread across his lips. His eyes followed him as Nathanaรซl walked past him to take the empty seat behind Midoriya. He couldn't let Bakugou be the representation for how all of them acted in class, so he immediately twisted in his seat to see him. Luckily, Nathanaรซl wasn't far from his own seat across from Midoriya.
"Don't pay attention to Bakugou. He's always in a bad mood." It seemed like the new kid might be shy judging by the soft tone he used, which only made Kirishima want to be the first to introduce himself. Nathanaรซl could probably use a friendly face right off the bat.
"Hey there! I'm Kirishima Eijiro! It's great to have another redhead in class!" His lips twisted into a grin as he admired the head of hair on the other boy. Of course, his looked natural. It had only been about a week since Kirishima's last dye job, so hopefully his looked just as natural, but it was hard to compare to the real and cool thing.
"I can't believe you transferred here from so far away! I'm sure there's plenty of good schools where you're from, but UA really is the best! You'll learn a lot here!" Of course, hopefully there wouldn't be any more real life villain attacks any time soon... He figured it was best to leave that out of the introduction tour.
Quietly, with his head down, Nathanaรซl took his first defeat of the day. He didn't expect to get on someone's bad side so soon, however, he expected someone else coming to his aid less so. He perked up surprised, meeting with one of the warmest smiles he had ever seen. It could melt the coldest of hearts and for him, it lowered his guard. Students approached the new kid in the past like any other but they usually waited a few days before taking an interest. If he also wasn't asked to leave already.
This ... Kirishima didn't even hesitate.
"!!" Wait, how long had Nathanaรซl been starting at him without so much as a hello? He quickly dropped his school bag, nervously chuckling and fixing his hair.
Plenty of good schools, the other teen didn't know the half of it. Giving the blond a second glance, Bakugou, he recognized him from the Sports Festival held a few weeks back. Nathanaรซl noted that guy was someone to avoid if he wanted to keep his head on his shoulders. Attention returned to Kirishima, grinning softer but with hints of unease. "Y-yep. I can't wait to start getting better." Understatement of the year. "I bet I have a lot to catch up on too. I'll do what I can." His best wouldn't be good enough, he needed to go higher and break through his own short comings. In truth, he owed it to his parents after all the sacrifices they made. "So, how are you lik--"
"Are you through talking?"
When the teacher chimed in, the young man lowered his head, cursing at himself.
"You finally settled?" Doing what he could to not incite any additional ire, Nathanaรซl responded with a single nod. "Good." After reading over the quirk section of the new student's file one last time, Mr. Aizawa slipped it into a folder and tucked it under one arm. "Everyone head to the lockers and change into your gym uniforms, we're taking this outside."
"Right now? What are we doing?" Asked a female voice as Nathanaรซl processed the sudden change in environment.
"Quirk Apprehension Test." Mr. Aizawa reminded blankly. "Those trials you guys did on the first day. Should seem familiar."
"But I already did those tests at the other schools!" Nathanaรซl stood in protest and worry. "Don't you have the results from--" But one look from those dark eyes halted the redhead's words in his throat. "I-I... nevermind."
"I wasn't there to evaluate you." Point taken. "Don't forget, you're in my classroom. Now go."
Holding down a snarl as he listened to the rustling of note bags and small chatter of his classmates among footsteps, he nodded again. Dismayed eyes shifted toward Kirishima as he reached for his bag, the smile gone. "Um. Do you mind taking me to the lockers?" [!]
Fists tighten as hard as his teeth sank into his bottom lip, trying to focus on the self-inflicted pain instead of nervousness. This was his last chance. He had transferred to and from so many other hero schools and if UA could not help him master his power, then no one could. Nathanaรซl stood before the door marked 1-A, waiting for Mr. Aizawaโs signal before entering.ย
Once his class settled down, the professor glanced at the paperwork then at his students. โListen up. As you all know, todayโs the day weโre getting a transfer student for our class. Iโm pretty sure youโre all very excited to meet him and all that.โ He gestured towards the door with two fingers, telling the young redhead to come in. โHeโs from overseas so try not to scare him.โ
Nathanaรซl immediately felt sick, the damn nerves fidgeting inside him. It was just the first day, it should have been alright but he remembered he already had experienced many other โfirst days.โ Due to his ability nearly fatally wounding his classmates, he faced expulsions but his official records always stated a transfer to a more suitable school, better equipped for โunstableโ students. It kept happening to the point where the transfers stemmed from him refusing to use his quirk, rendering him useless if he wanted to rescue people.
Moving to Japan was his final hope.
He took a deep breath, knowing he was the root of his problems, not the quirk. Nathanaรซl had to make this work or else be nothing but a liability, watching from the sidelines. Another breath and he entered in stride, trying to mask his concern under false confidence. He stood before his new classmates, teal eyes darting from one unfamiliar face to another. They seemed friendly enough, some waved and smiled which eased his previous anxiety. He even spotted a fellow redhead to which he grinned at.
โIntroduce yourself already.โ
โOh, right. S-sorry, Mr. Aizawa.โ A few tinges of red dusted his cheeks, trying to remain cool. It should have been second nature by now to say hello to everyone. He hid his face as much as he could with a bow. โIโm Nathanaรซl Kurtzberg and Iโm pleased to meet all of you.โย
The silence soon after felt unnecessary and heavy, as if Nathanaรซl was supposed to add more. Instead of commenting on the boyโs reluctance for more information, Aizawa sighed softly. โJust take your seat behind Midoriya and weโll get started.โ
A nod though, he didnโt move. None of them had said their names. How would he to know who was who? โUm, which one is Midoriya?โ
โAre you for real?!โ A louder voice, one Nathanaรซl visibly flinched at, suddenly rang. โItโs the only empty desk in the entire classroom!โ
Not even five minutes in and the new kid managed to piss someone off. โS-sorry.โย ย
โโThe polka-dotted heroine made sure to get ahead of her feline partner when it came to this Akuma. It wasn't a common occurrence, but when they arrived a bit later than usual, the akumatised victim had already been subdued. But how? She'd not given a Miraculous to anyone lately โ though, she'd be a fool to say another pair of hands wasn't welcome. She liked the additional team members when she recruited them, but since this one wasn't her doing... it put her on edge.
โโChat Noir played it off like it was no big deal since it made their lives that lot easier. Shouldn't he be more concerned that they don't know who this is? They could be anyone with some kind of agenda! And besides, Ladybug wasn't a fan of not knowing these sorts of things.
โโBut any time she'd try to make it there faster, she'd failed and the job had already been done for her to finish it off. It honestly had her fuming. Why couldn't they wait for the pair to arrive? Was it really necessary to be out of sight for when they'd show up?
โโMaybe so, but today... today would be different. Not that she predicted it at all, no one can predict an akuma to happen, but she just had that tingle feeling. And would you look at that; she was right.
โโโSo, you're the one who's been helping us out.โ She finally speaks, hands on her hips as her brow rises. She'd never seen them before, since they always disappeared, but seeing them now... interesting.
Only the light flickering of flames along his wings and tails indicated movement as the rest of his frame remained rigid. Howโฆ how did she arrive this quickly? From the time of the akumaโs appearance to Phรฉnix binding them in fire, at least 10 minutes must have passed. In his spiraling panic, he wondered if this was an elaborate trap to lure him out. The new holder snuffed the idea as soon as it sparked, Ladybug would never use an innocent civilian.ย
She was just that amazing.
However, her firm body language expressed anything but delight, appearing on the offense. That was his fault, they had never met prior. Thinking what would be the best move to do, the bird twitched his shoulder back, the flames along his back vanishing into black smoke. A sign he had no intentions of flying away. He probably could if he soared out of the yoyoโs range. That would only sour their barely started relationship.
Next, to show he posed no threat and greatly respected Ladybug, the savior of Pairs, he knelt before her. Phรฉnix bowed his head with arms open, it was all he could think of to show no harm while without preparation. He still hadnโt utter a word, unsure of what to say. 'Sorry? Yes, itโs me? Iโve been wanting to say hi for the past few weeks but didnโt feel I was good enough?'
Body stiffen, ready to take a verbal lashing or anything he deserved based on Ladybug's judgement. He at least nodded. [!]

Ladybug thought more on this as he explained; sure she can destroy the stylus, capture the akuma and have him change back but he could come back again once he's gotten akumatized again. She still feels uneasy if he meant a bit further of this concept. "So you were already created in mind by Nathanael? Even when you say you don't need Hawkmoth to become who you are now, you still wouldn't have your powers without the akuma. You'd have the mindset of Evillustrator, but you'd still be Nathanael regardless if you think you are or not. I don't see how you can possibly seem so confident about that."
Evil was not him though. At her answer, he frowned, though, it was subtle. The same could not be said for the tone in his voice. Here he thought they were getting somewhere. "It's almost as if you weren't listening. I thought you understood." He rose from his seat, deleting both chairs before twirling the pen in annoyance. A tick. "Not that it's going to do you any good but, Nathanaรซl created me to be a hero." Stylus then laid upon the tablet but he didn't draw yet. "Look at me now, playing the role of a villain... because I'm Evil."
After a glide of his hand, multiple torpedoes appeared over his head. "Let's get this over with."
"Let's just hope someone realizes we're missing soon." from marinette!
Locked in a Room starters

"Y-yeah." A utter upon realizing their predicament. It was a simple task, retrieving a notebook he accidentally left in pottery class. Curiosity took the better of them to peek at their sculptures in the drying room. The room equipped with a door which locked from the outside. The clicking behind didn't initially worry Nathanaรซl's heart until the handle refused to turn after a few hard twists.
"It's after school, our parents should at least notice." The redhead retrieved his phone, checking the charge. Low percentage, of course, he always charged it once back home. "Tell me you have your phone with you." He flinched a little from a sting in his chest, biting his lips to stop himself from clutching the spot.
Nathanaรซl never had this painful issue until after his akumatization and... it was always when around her. "A-actually, you got a bobby pin?" [!]
