Sarcasm is my defense

I was thinking about this the whole time I listened to folklore and you know what? yes. absolutely!

I think it’s been about 2, nearly 3, months since I finished The Hating Game and the only books I’ve found that are just as good are Roomies by Christina Lauren and The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. Literally nothing else compares or sucks me in as much as THG did and I’ve honestly been in a bit of a reading slump for the last few weeks because I still can’t stop thinking about it!!!!

“Alright, so, this crowd is so spectacular, I really want to get to know exactly who I talking to. So, I think I already know the answer to this, but is there anyone here at the show tonight who is from Miami, Florida? Excellent! Is there anyone here tonight who has traveled a really long way to be at the show? Guys, there’s absolutely no wrong answer, both answers are absolutely incredible because both answers equal you being here with us tonight and dancing like this in, what is it, a million degrees outside? This is incredible! So, how much do you love Charli XCX? I’m so glad to hear you say that because I absolutely adore Charli XCX. But I wanted to talk to you a little bit about Camila Cabello for a second. Because this is someone who is so proud to be from Miami, she’s so proud to be from here, and she loves you so much. She’s someone who, her career could not be more on fire, like she’s killing it right now, and she will continue to kill it! But beyond that, she’s one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met in my entire life, and you should be so proud of her, she’s such a wonderful, incredible, honest, generous, graceful, hilarious, enthusiastic, childlike yet mature person, and I’m so happy she’s on this tour! So to any of her family and friends who are out there in the crowd tonight, thank you for her, we’re so so lucky to have her on this tour. Guys, it’s the coolest thing into the world to look out into this crowd and know that we have this sold out stadium and I feel like one thing everyone in the crowd tonight has in common, because in general, I think we all like the feeling of someone else validating how we feel. We like it when someone says, ‘I feel that way too, I’ve been there, you’re not alone in feeling that,’ it’s a good feeling. And I think that one thing you should know that I’m so thankful for is the fact that you coming tonight, standing in the audience, singing back the words, dancing along, putting your hands in the air - that’s you validating feelings that I felt when I was really alone, or confused, or sad, or scared, or so happy I didn’t know what to do. So thank you! And it really helps me to look out and feel like we have some things in common. Maybe we’ve been through some of the same things, or felt the same way about things, because all you guys are out there screaming the words at the top of your lungs, I’m singing these words into the microphone, and it’s so great that you’re here, and that you’ve always been there for me through some of the most delicate emotions that I’ve seen and experienced.”
