His first cover, "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People. Listen to the original, then Billy's version, see how there's so much contrast between them, I mean they're both good, but I prefer Billy's :) ~ Christina

This is the very catchy "Don't Wait Up", Billy's second single, available to download on iTunes. This is the song that made me discover the world of Billy Lockett, when I first heard it on BBC Radio 1. I am very greatful to that man that asked it to be played :) ~ Christina
This has moved me to tears, it's such a powerful song, with powerful words... <3 ~ Christina

Welcome! :)
Welcome to my Billy Blog! Here you'll find everything Billy Lockett! If you don't know who he is, this is a brief sum up of who he is and his work.
Billy Lockett is a boy who's lived in Northampton his whole life. Learning to play piano in his basement, a room apparantly full to the brim of old slot machines, canvases, board games and band equipment, Billy started playing aged 8 and hasn't stopped since. You can find some of his songs on Youtube. He calls them "Cellar Sessions" (great name don't you think?) some of them are covers, some originals, some are solo, some with his best mate Dan Blackwell and Dizzy :) He has two singles. One called "Balance", a very upbeat song, garanteed to bring a smile to your face. Very Mumford & Sons like. And, "Don't Wait Up", a song about drinking and hangovers and not being good enough for someone, telling them to move on. Very catchy and will definately have you singing along at the end.
His covers are very, very good. Extremely good. He has done "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People and "Too Close" by Alex Clare. When I listen to them, I think he brings an intense atmosphere to them. Giving me goosebumps, which is actually very rare in my case. If he can manage to do that, he has a great thing going there :)
I could talk about every song he's done, but then, this wouldn't be brief :/ So, I'll be posting his videos, photos, upcoming gigs, and just basically updating you on interesting info... Enjoy! ~ Christina
