JIMMY PAGE performing at the Metropolitan Sports Center in Bloomington, Minnesota
"His suit was silky white, and his long, black hair fell over most of his face and part of his guitar. He was bent over to the waist, a joint (presumably of contraband) dangling from the corner of his mouth, and as he sucked in the smoke, his fingers did a little dance on the intsrument in his hands. He was standing like a statue, picking his chords slowly, and the 15,000-plus crowd was hushed for awhile, listening for a change. Nice and slow. Then four green lights flashed from the sides of the stage and he exploded with a leap into the air. Steppin' and prancing across the stage, fingers shooting across the guitar, he was a swirl of music and color as the laser lights hurtled all over the stage. Electric! His name was Jimmy Page, and for the moment, the immediate world was his to command." — Show review by Tom Sorensen for St. Cloud Times

LED ZEPPELIN performing at the Brøndby Pop-Club (Nørregårdsskolen) in Denmark, March 15, 1969
"The autumn season of 1968 started with a bang: world premieres of Led Zeppelin. The Yardbirds (who had played the previous year at the club with great success) had undergone a major change in the group, and with the new line-up they started by being called The New Yardbirds and came to Brøndby to play together for the first time—and for 2,500 kr.! They played a number of concerts in Scandinavia, went home to England and changed their name, and then they recorded their debut album which of course contained a long list of the songs they played at Brøndby Pop Club on 7 September 1968. I guess we can call that historical. Led Zeppelin came back to the Brøndby pop scene in March 1969, and I'm not entirely sure if the photo is from that concert. But it doesn't matter. They had already become somewhat better known here, so the price had risen to 6,100 kr." [source]
