Japan traditionally saves most of it's titles for the second half of the year but this summer is special, they decided to unleash an onslaught and mind you there are still more series to be announced.

The Boy and I Who Will Break Up in 100 Days • now airing — the inaugural title of summer season is about to wrap it's run. Not your standard BL-fare, quite the contrary, this queer show is an outright critique on the genre. I have my own issues with this production so not watching, therefore can't really give a proper opinion on it.

Your Sky • August 2 — remake of the Thai-BL of 2024 with Kong and Thomas. This is a TokyoMX production, there is no relation with the remakes of Mame IPs previously done by FujiTV.

"Switching Seats"¹ • August 8 — features two very familiar faces: Eito Konishi (JBL prince from Takara's Treasure, Therapy Game and Unreal) and Gennosuke (vertical JBL prince from Dangerously Sweet, Give A Reward When It Can Do ‘Wait' and Century Plant).

"Blue and Green" • tbd — this one was announced in May but went radio silence ever since, seemed poised for an August release, but now it's up in the air.

Duty First, Kiss Later • July — freshly announced, an ABC TV production, their first BL since last year's smash hit School Trip.

The Journey to Killing You - Season 2 • tbd — Fans picked up that Wada (always at the crime scene) hinted that the filming has only just begun. The movie version of the first series makes it's way to theaters in late August, educated guess that by then season 2 will be properly announced.
