I loved your blog! I really enjoyed your headcanons, the family one does sound like him. When watching the anime he was raised âsingle child with much older parentsâ. It makes you think what his personal life after his actions. He doesnât give off the vibe he is THAT connected to his family at all. So for his family reaction after that would be interesting to know.
Also do you have any headcanon of his life after the ending, his life as sorcerer? Other than helping to reform society with sorcery through a âlegal lensâ, I donât have much of an idea? What about future in more personal ways like marriage/union or would he even want to have a family? Sorry this is long love your takes!
I agree with the fact that Higuruma probably has a very distant relationship with his family. Either that or they passed on in his late-twenties or early-thirties. He gives off only child vibes so strongly. And he seems the type to have been closer to one parent over the other. His parents passing only added onto the stress of his own life, and he isnât particularly close to any of his other relatives.
Higuruma was self-sacrificial enough to want to join the Sukuna fight despite not knowing reverse cursed technique at the time (until Sukuna made him learn on the spot or lose his limbs and life). And towards the end, we get a peek of him and Shimizu talking about him going to trialâĻI think he would want to serve time in prison as penance.
Unfortunately for him, I think jujutsu society will IMMEDIATELY scoop him up and pull lots of strings in order to tie him to the jujutsu world. Something along the lines of either having him âserve as a sorcerer for the greater good to pay for his crimesâ or like citing that he fought against Sukuna and should be pardoned. Either way, Higuruma is not particularly happy about it but goes along with it as he finds himself adrift. I also believe that he would be stripped from his license to practice law.
I fully believe that Higuruma was not expecting to come out of the Sukuna fight alive (and honest to god like we all thought he was full dead after Sukuna slashed him but Gege decided to give us one singular mercy and keep him alive), so now that he is alive and facing the consequences of his actions, he doesnât particularly know what to do. For all his life, he sought out justice for those who didnât have the power to fight on their own, and now he is stripped of his license to practice law and left with his own cursed technique that mimics a court system. A technique that has him as the judge, jury, and executioner, yet the only law that he can practice is only within his own court. Itâs sad in a way.
He throws himself into being a sorcerer, as it is the only thing he has left. Has to learn the basics from the ground up, as he learned sorcery through the highly unorthodox and survivalist Culling Games. Most likely just goes through life adrift. Keeps wearing his suit out of habit. Keeps his gavel close by despite never using it in an actual courtroom besides his own. Slowly but surely integrates himself into jujutsu society. Gets closer to the survivors of the Culling Games.
In terms of his future personal relationships, I genuinely think that Higuruma would subject himself to bachelordom for life or somehow find himself with a lover that fully wormed their way into his life. Higuruma is horribly confused because how did it happen? Does he deserve this sort of life? (Said lover absolutely inched their way from being friends with benefits to lovers to somehow sharing an apartment where they share drawers for socks and the closets has his suits and their clothes next to them) (It is not a traditional relationship by any means but it is theirs.)
