Sophia smiled in relief when he said yes. She was excited for him to finally meet her parents. “Don’t worry, they’ll love you.” She said before looking in the closet so she could find them a matching outfit.

“Ah maybe just politics? It gets my dad pretty feisty.” She laughed softly. “Ah they usually dont mind talking about anything else. But be warned, they’re very opinionated.”

"Now define 'opinionated'. Like, are they informed stances or 'let's throw stuff out and see what hits the wall'?" He laughed as he said this.

Jake smirked at her response. “When I lived in Minnesota ans worked at that grocery store, we had three managers or some shit. They were so uptight, save for the ‘general’ manager.” He said this as he looked at her, his heart skipping a couple of beats again as he did so.

Paris laughs quietly as she shook her head. “Managers are so weird,” She protested softly. “Like, if you’re going to manage over people at least try to make it entertaining and not boring.” After a moment, she glanced back to him and smiled gently, eyebrows slightly raised. “You okay?”

Sophia looked at him shyly. “I wanted to know if you wanted to come to dinner tonight and meet my parents.” She asked shyly.

“He’s honestly so chill,” laughed Jake,“I think he’s 23 or something, I dunno.” He smiled as the two got in line for the ferris wheel.

“My manager is the exact opposite of chill. She’s in her 40s and acts like she’s about 20. It’s so weird,” Paris pouted as her arms wrapped around her midsection.
