As if she wasn’t on edge enough, Evan’s text only made her even more angry, enough to have small green flames shooting off her fingertips as she decided to ditch this party. It wasn’t like she was having a good time anyways, the looks people gave her only getting under her skin more as she rolled her eyes and knocked back another shot. “Fuck this.” The blonde muttered, pushing her way through the crowd but they already moved out of her way, and she slipped out of the front door with no hesitation. She knew where Evan was, how could she forget, and after he left her on read she figured he couldn’t bullshit his way out if she was face to face with him. The walk to his dorm wasn’t that bad either, and as she reached his room, she knocked heavily as she didn’t let up until he answered. She didn’t care that she was in some little halloween costume, she was livid, and with every knock small green sparks followed the hit.

The problem with sharing a birthday with a holiday was the fact that usually, the birthday was overshadowed by the holiday that everyone wanted to celebrate. In Evan’s case, sharing a birthday with Halloween, especially as a VK, meant that his celebrations were usually small affairs followed by attending some sort of party at someone else’s house that he was meant to dress up for. He found himself lucky though as it could be worse; his birthday could be on Christmas Day instead. This year, Evan wasn’t really in the celebratory mood. After a phone call from his mother, who was having one of her good days thankfully, he had ended up in his dorm room with a small cake, a few new books he had purchased for himself as gifts, and a string of texts that he had stupidly written to Tatiana. He should have been more focused on talking to Allegra, of wooing her and getting her attention. No one ever said Evan was smart. Confused about the knock at the door, there was a moment where Evan felt his hopes lift. Hell, maybe Lucy remembered what day it was and was here as a surprise. The surprise at the door, whoever, was another blonde with a fire in her eyes, literally. “Uh... hi?,” he began, still blocking the entrance with his body. Maybe he shouldn’t have been so shocked that Tatiana was at his door, especially after he had left her on read. “Can I help you?”
