There's something so very silly in making Pony resemble Darrel, like Pony spends like nearly half the book thinking poorly of Darry and that Darry doesn't care, only to accept that Darrel is trying, Darrel does care. In the beginning Pony says he has grey-green eyes but says he has grey eyes because he doesn't like people with green eyes and then says Darrel has blue-green eyes.
This makes me want to bring up Soda and how despite Pony's idolizing of Soda, Pony shares more characteristics with Darrel and I just think that's fun. Like Pony and Darrel are athletic with darker hair and greenish eyes, Soda is said to not be into sports (unless we're counting horseback riding) like the other two and has blond hair and brown eyes. Pony and Darrel are very extreme, they don't see eye to eye, Soda is the middleman, the one who sees both sides. I could actually go on forever I think.
Also I will never get over how Soda resembles their mother but acts like their father and Darry is said to incredibly resemble their father but act nothing like him. Soda acts like their father but looks like their mother and Darrel acts like their mother and looks like their father. DO I NEED TO SAY IT FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK?
