Sometimes it helps just to attack the problem head on. about two months ago i took Hubs to the ER. since then i’ve been dealing with the nightmare of medical bills. first, we got the bill and i started crying “omg how am i supposed to pay this what is insurance even good for wtf” then i call the hospital “i can’t pay the minimum monthly i need financial aid” i fill the form out and submit it back, and i finally heard back. we were surprisingly denied (i’m not sure how 1/2 your income going to tuition and only being employed 3/4 of the yr ISNT a reason for aid, but i digress.....) but i called again because SERIOUSLY I CANNOT MAKE THAT “REQUIRED” MINIMUM MONTLY. lady: “oh yeah, idk who told you that, that’s not true. what can you pay? oh okay, i’ll submit this and once the guy processes the paperwork you’ll be set up.” so at every step of this fiasco i’ve been totally upset only have to have some sort of answer for my problem, as long as i went out to Fix It. which is nice. sometimes anxiety makes you shut down from your problems. when it’s abt your family, sometimes you suit up. and sometimes that’s all you need to do.
