I just really want to say that I love Kanye West and I get really upset when someone says “oh I only like the old Kanye”. It doesn’t make sense to me because all the things Kanye did when he just started are the same things he’s doing today and that is what I admire most about him. I was just listening to All Falls Down and it’s the same message he used in New Slaves. Now mind you it’s a message no one really wants to hear. It doesn’t fit society’s notion of what rap music should be projecting. It’s actually the exact opposite. Maybe people forgot the message he was preaching 10 years ago in All Falls Down. I’m assuming when people say they like the “old Kanye” they are referring to the older beats he used. That argument, while could be considered valid, also doesn’t quite make sense to me. Kanye, like all rappers should be, is an artist. If his art never evolved then there would be no reason for him to continue making art. His form of expression changes, his message does not. It is nice to know there are still other people who see the good and purpose of his music and look past the negativity that surrounds his name in the media.

I feel Kany has fallen off since MBDTF, his albums beforehand were in my opinion amazing and no comparison to what hes making now, Yeezus was just a terrible album that i feel he put no work in at all with all of 2 or 3 good songs. This is my opinion, agree/disagree as you want
