Tom Adams is a songwriter and producer living and working in Cornwall, England.
Best known for his distinctive falsetto vocals and atmospheric production aesthetic, Tom first came to public attention in 2014 when he was commissioned to compose the soundtrack the Universal Pictures feature film 'The Knife That Killed Me'.
Relocating to Berlin soon after, Tom became integrated with the emerging modern classical scene there, performing live concerts around Europe alongside artists such as ‘Nils Frahm’, ‘A Winged Victory For The Sullen’ and ‘Hauschka’.
Tom has always recorded and produced his own music, his diverse recorded output ranges from melancholic piano-ambient works to euphoric synth driven electronic beats and apocalyptic walls of distorted guitars.
Regardless of style, Tom’s music always has an enduring emotional quality that is as expansive as it is elegantly peculiar.
Alongside his solo work, additional studio collaborations have emerged with Ben Lukas Boysen, Grammy nominated artist Sebastian Plano and German electronic music pioneers Christian Liebing and Ralf Hildenbeutel
He has also been commissioned to create bespoke remixes for artists such as Max Richter, and has had reworks released by a number of labels including Deutsche Grammophone, Mute Records, PIAS and Mercury records.
Never one to follow the crowds, Tom relocated to Cornwall in England in 2020 where he set up the indipendant record label Ocean Temple Records.
He currently divides his time between producing in the studio, playing guitar on the beach and chasing the waves with his home made surfboards.
To date Tom has released 10 full length albums as well as a number of Ep’s, remixes and singles. His music has received international airplay on Radio and TV in Europe, Asia, Australia and America. Bob Boilen (NPR) included Toms 2017 Album ‘Silence’ in his top 10 records of 2017, describing it as ‘poignant, atmospheric music that seems to slow time… If you’re looking for a quiet record for these harrowing times, this is it.’
Tom has performed solo concerts in Asia and Europe and has also performed a Tiny Desk (home) Concert for the American based NPR.
Among other things, Music from Tom's albums have been used in various Films, TV shows including programs in national cinema, netflix, BBC and Amazon. His music has also been featured in commercials, working with brands such as Jaguar / Landrover, The UEFA Europa League, Azzaro Perfume and Carling Beer.
