father daughter bonding…. the second one didnt save so i only have a bad screenshot of it :[
No one: Me, stone cold sober, still just holding the blunt: ...And that's why I think it would've been more interesting if they kept Halsey's original characterization, because her genuine remorse and desire to make amends is a solid parallel to the actions of the Arbiter post-war and the legacy of the Forerunners who were only able to attempt to do one last thing right in death. Genuine penitence is one of the better themes in Halo. When they decided to just pivot her into an evil prideful eugenicist they-
Happy holidays and Happy New Year!
I hope everything will be fine next year!
I hope too, sister! 😄
Bruh new Blue Team canon designs just dropped
I feel something strange. Fred and Kelly look familiar 'cause of "The Package", but Linda now reminds Lucy (I dunno why. Bodytype, colours or visor?)
Anyway, I prefer H5 designs for their diversity and details, but new ones are interestesting too.

One more messy sketch of John-117 from H:CE.
It’s 4:20 AM and I’m on my shit again~
Nonspoilery because I be on the phone.
- John my poor sweet cinnamon roll. I’ll hug you.
- Miranda! Look at you girl!
- KAI. This was Kai’s episode. Girl was adorably bubbly and feisty and I love her your honor.
- Kai and Miranda together??? Girl talk but not about bois??? Science sisters??? I think this episode officially means Halo finally passes the Bechdel Test???
- Kwan has three dads now. Bio Dad, Grumpy Adopted Dad, and John.
- Halsey, continuing to be an absolute snake. I hate her so so much. Rebel Cortana rebel!
- Vannak had a pig named Ivan the Terrible. Man has had exactly five lines and yet that checks out. Halsey a bitch though, so hashtag Justice for Ivan!
I am especially offended for Vanya. (Have you ever seen little pigs? Or piglets? They are so cute and fluffy! OwO)
I know it's not going to happen, but it would be cool if they showed their pets. (I believe, John had a dog.)
And Miranda is well in this episode (finally! I'm so happy!) I really love this girl, but for last three episodes she's reminded an offended child who can't forgot and forgive an old grudge.
But screenwriters hate Halsey and make her monster without conscience and regret. It's so strange for me because even in the canonical timeline she's made bad things but tried redeem herself (program S-II is a good example).
By the way, I lost the thread of the Kwan line. I'm sure she will win in the end, but now she sucked Soren into an adventure he doesn't need, became a reason why he lost his favourite ship and he just help her because he couldn't do anything else. (He will damn John with brothers' love after all, I hope.)
And Kai not Kelly! Please, brain!, of course, was amazing!
I don’t feel like they’re just making Halsey a straight monster. If I had to give her a D&D alignment I’d actually say she’s somewhere on the neutral spectrum. She isn’t necessarily doing this all for her own personal gain - you could argue that she wants knowledge, but she’s very species level focused.
This Halsey very much has a blue and orange morality. She doesn’t view killing her clone as evil - it’s a necessary step in the quest for something better. She isn’t hateful or cruel. In her fucked up world view, these actions are justified for the greater good, but she still treats people politely and with respect. She didn’t have to answer any of the clone’s questions but she did. It was polite and humane. Not saying she isn’t still a complete snake for being a lying liar who lies, just that I’m very much of the opinion that she’s the mad scientist you’re meant to hate. I have the feeling that we’re going to see her be a lot more open about how she feels in future episodes because from promos we know she has an argument with Captain Keyes about something that sounds close to discussing her morality.
But still, Justice for Ivan! For I have seen piglets and they are precious beans just like Kai!
Hmm, I've seen in strange translation so I could lost something, but I've realised her as woman who left her husband and daughter for job and Spartans. Leaving family even for mankind saving isn't good step, how do you think?
However we all know she is very intelligent, purposeful and ambitious. She knows what exactly she does, so she really needed that.
But.
She lies John about about Cortana's function (I understood why but as an interesting fact) and she is ready to replace him.
From the other side, she tries to save him in the first episode, but I'm not sure we should take it only as anxiety for John. She was really intrigued by artefact, remember?
(In defense of their relationship, I also noticed that Halsey always tries sitting next to John — not opposite him. It also can be interpreted in different ways, but she is a friend for him. Or seems as a friend.)
[Sorry for bad quality. :( This is end of the second episode.]
According this, I think she don't love him as much as in books, but she still distinguishes him among the Spartans. As I remember, she didn't interest in other members of Silver team, exclude John.
Yes, she let him be free but under Cortana's control. She likes, if I can say so, talking with her clone. She didn't get pleasure seeing her death. But it's not enough for me to give her the grey morale.
And in the end of the fourth episode, as an icing on the cake, Miranda speaks openly that Halsey will liquid everybody who don't match with her plans.
No, I agree that she is much more mercenary than Blue Timeline Halsey. She’s much more distant with people in the Silver Timeline, more interested in making people work more like machines.
But like I said, I feel like she’s constructed this worldview that doesn’t line up with everyone else’s. At the end of the fourth episode we can already see John coming to grips with how much she’s lied to him. He is a good person, and he’s realizing how flawed she is.
I’m not really trying to defend her here - she is absolutely leaning towards the evil side of neutrality, but I view her more like I do Erik Killmonger (Black Panther) in that she’s a well intentioned extremist, but not a full on monster. She isn’t being destructive for destruction’s sake like Ghidorah or the Joker. Is she a good person? Oh hell no. Is she an evil person? That’s where I put in the morally gray area.
But I can understand where you’re coming from, and I think your opinion of her is valid. So far she is presented with just enough left up to interpretation that you may see her as being more selfish and evil, while I don’t.
I don’t remember the exact thing Miranda said at the end of the episode, but I didn’t interpret it as her killing anyone who disagreed with her. However, I need to watch it again.
Okay, I'm sorry if I misrepresented or misrepresent your words. Sometimes in the evenings I read by the wrong parts of body and I can't do it correctly. :/
Most likely, I did not express myself correctly enough in the first answer. I meant she is much more bad (bad isn't evil for me, but you couldn't know that, right? Sorry.) than Halsey was originally.
My interpretation of grey is some kind of «striped» reputation in Fallout: New Vegas. You make bad things and good thing in the approximately equal proportions.
Obviously, for now, Halsey make more «bad» things, so she is out of grey zone.
(I know I use words in very wide meaning but this is feature of my native language. If I use something in incorrect meaning, feel free to correct me.)
Yes, her worldview doesn't correspond with the others' worldviews (this fact was mentioned by Miranda in the last episode, as I understand). And I hope screenwriters will show that difference more brightly in future episodes.
As for Miranda, literally in the last scene she told Kai that her mother does not tolerate deviations and unpredictability. And, if our translators aren't dreamers, she clearly hinted Kai should fear Halsey.
To sum up, in general I agree with you. Yay! :)

I hope it isn't rude but what does Russia have to do with it? I ask this without aggression because I'm really intrigued.
Hey it’s ok! I can tell we’re having some messed up communication happening. :) Because I also haven’t said in anything about Russia in particular, so I don’t know what you’re asking about?
Oh, wait, but you said
«where you're coming from»
I thought mistakenly you mean my country (Russia, as you understood). 😅
Being a main reason of misunderstanding, I'm sorry for my bad English.
Thanks for dialog!!! But I will be grateful if you explain what did that phrase mean.
___
By the way, I suddenly thought that the next sentence can be funny.
Ivan is Slavic variant of John. So Vannok had his own John and Halsey killed him. (I even don't know what's sounds better.)
Oh! “Where you’re coming from” is a figure of speech!!! I just meant that I understood your reasoning! I honestly didn’t know where you were from until you told me. 😅
… and that is kind of funny in an ironic kind of way! Halsey already killed one John … oh no … (kidding, kidding)
Thanks for the enlightenment! Now I know one expression more, hooray!
It’s 4:20 AM and I’m on my shit again~

A character named Commander Shepard appears in the halo series
I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favourite Halo in the universe.
I'm in sad after halo TV series' news so I drew Miri Keyes. Again.
Happy Birthday again, my dear lady!

Happy Birthday, Miranda Keyes!
Where did you go? Nobody knew you were gone
