While I do agree there is some merit, with the argument that a good chunk of the hard-right liberal and national voters which have now moved to One Nation could have fascist tendencies. It is a bit counterproductive to label ALL their supporters as rascist or fascist as it only serves to vilify those voters and further frustrate them. And it's not so much infantilising the voters, as even grown adults can be easily manipulated through propaganda in the media. I see it, and I'm sure you've seen it to. Am I saying this excuses them? No. But, what I am saying is that media in this country is tipped in the favor of right-wing parties with there being very little scrutiny applied on One Nation at the moment which only further strengthens them, further peddled by the legitimisation of immigration being the cause of the housing crisis. And we have to remember that this time last year One Nation was only polling at 6% and is now at 31%! This growth isn't natural and there's no way that all these people just suddenly woke up and decided to become fascists one day. Even if One Nation does not offer anything of value, they are something different to the status quo.

so you can shoot a black child in the back as he's running away and get away with it with zero consequences, but god forbid a black child defend himself, because that'll land him thirty-five fucking years in jail—which is basically a life sentence. half of his life will be over when his sentence is up. all the fake talk of progress in this country has just been a way to silence black people for speaking out against the countless horrific injustices we're forced to experience, from microagressions to outright murder. you literally cannot go a day without hearing about another black person falling victim to systemic racism and then having to listen to people justify why they deserved it. and we're supposed to hold no animosity whatsoever as we grin and bear it.

i think one of the worst things the left wing internet ever did was push the idea that oppression is basically a virtue, and being oppressed is a sign of your morality. it has made it like…impossible for some of you to hold the idea that most people are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. AND a lot of you seem to have it in your mind that terrible people cannot be oppressed, and that oppressed people cannot do terrible things, which is a dangerous rhetoric to hold imo.

I know you think it’s “feminist” to hate on women who already have self esteem and image issues (through no fault of their own, as a direct result of patriarchy) for doing something to help them cope with their fleeting youth - which may or may not have been stripped from them against their will due to years of depression, abuse, oppression, or whatever else - but the truth is that the freedom to get Botox is actually a right feminists have fought for - whether intentionally or unintentionally. Women used to get thrown away when we outlived our youth and beauty - now we have the option to prolong it and change the way we are perceived and treated by society as a whole. We ALL had to grow up too fast. We ALL have to cope with a childhood that ended too soon. I’m no less a feminist than you are simply because I choose to hold onto my youth and beauty because it helps me feel better about my own loss of innocence. This is all just another excuse to hate on women and tear us down. You’re literally letting the patriarchy win by judging women for their personal choices which harm absolutely no one. Please grow up. Not everyone is conventionally attractive or ages gracefully. Some women can cope with that and some can’t. Both deserve love and respect. Have some decency. You’re not edgy for this. You’re hating just like a man would.
