Oh no, gay fans are excited.

Calm down. I see subreddits all the time getting mad over the gay representation getting all the spotlight while non-queer characters and plot points get a bit less attention. So what?

Why are fandom groups, especially fandom subreddits, so viciously resistant to critique.

I love Bluey but no media is above criticism or gentle critique of messaging, intentional or otherwise.

And I find it especially hypocritical how the Bluey sub will praise to high heavens how deep and meaningful this show is, but the moment someone expresses anything slightly negative, boom, “it’s not that deep.” The self-serving hypocrisy.

This comment hit the nail on the head in regards to certain vocal cis members of the KOG fandom.

Remember, the problem was ALWAYS the harrassment of Dana, and never the headcanon itself. Yet another example in the long list of cis fans calling trans fans “problematic” or “transphobic to themselves” for their own personal headcanons.

Why do all transfem portrayals have to be thin and small and unmasc? As I’ve said, it’s weird when cis people call trans headcanons problematic when it’s trans people holding those headcanons.

Anyways give this comment a like, it’s under a way too popular dumb comment by @SalemTheWitchVT saying “why does a masculine build women instantly have to be trans” under the KOG video by ColeyDoesThings.

All fandom spaces are babies when faced with the existence of a boycott of media they like, and the Scream sub is yet another example. Their main argument boils down to that they enjoy/like the franchise, therefore the new movie shouldn’t be boycotted because of how Melissa was mistreated.

So many people are cowards to the idea of boycotts, because their enjoyment of a product matters more to them than actual having beliefs or values.

Not voting for Kamala because of genocide was not “virtue-signalling egotistical purity-culture narcissists,” and caring about basic human rights is not “demanding perfection” in a politician. Maybe a few were last year but to paint that broad brush over every single person who turned down Kamala for Palestine, it’s not going to help your causes.

Simplifying the genocide or framing it that way, and talking down to non-voters, makes you come across as a condescending, out-of-touch ignorant asshole.

People like Jessie Gender perfectly understand why people didn’t vote for Kamala and doesn’t misrepresent or bash them. She voted in the most reluctant way possible.

It’s fine to not like a ship, but when you have to make that everyone else’s problem, and call them stupid and wrong for believing that it’s canon, that’s an issue.

Yes, the writers said it was ambiguous/open to interpretation. But you realise that goes both ways, right? Might not be canon but it’s not non-canon either.

There’s nothing wrong with Appledash enjoyers for believing it’s canon either, or insisting it is, because guess what, that’s how it was written into the show. It was supposed to be multi-interpreted. Not that canon needs to matter for a ship, just that there isn’t nothing there in the actual source material.

The frequent anger towards any suggestion of canonicity regarding Appledash is foul and irritating, and you could just keep it to yourself.
