Matt describing what offerings to leave the Allhammer was making me emotional for future Matt 6ish years later:
“The Allhammer really appreciates the process of creation, whether that be crafting or making or forging or whittling or building, the essence of a life creating something outside of itself, beyond progeny of any kind, is, in itself, an act of his joy and will. So whatever you could make, big or small, generally, is considered a good offering.”
I am actually so excited to see how they decide to adapt the pirate arc for the show. Bc on the one hand, it was a HUGE detour from the main plot and it’s already been well established that things need to be cleaned up and streamlined for the television format. But on the other hand, I feel like the desperate avoidance of the main plot that led to them getting swept up in being pirates is a big defining factor of the nein’s characterization as a party. And the gut punch of them coming back from fucking around on the sea to find nott’s village razed and husband taken prisoner as casualties of the war they’d been avoiding was a big moment too. And a lot of important character development happened during that arc while they were healing from losing mollymauk and adjusting to caduceus, even if it was “slow” in the grand scheme of things. I’m hopeful that including Essek earlier in the show will give them leeway to step away from the main plot and go be pirates, bc then they could still establish the nein as the lovably avoidant chaotic yahoos they are while still being able to cut back to Essek for gritty main plot stuff. Either way I’m gonna be happy to see it
what if we touched foreheads in the blooming woods together........and we were both elves...........
There hasn't been a single decision by any PC to help another PC and we're nearly an hour in.

The Lloys must drive the Sundered houses absolutely insane, because they simply do not move in a way that they can understand.
I mean imagine just after the end of the shapers war if the Lloys had made moves like the Halovars would have. They made the weapon that killed the god of war, their druids turned a wasteland green. They are heroes, practically saints. They could have been the new nobility and secured the borders of Dol-Makjar completely icing out the Sundered houses from the only non-blighted land left in Aramán. The Sundered Houses would be in absolute disaster if the Lloys decided to play the game like they do.
What are they doing instead? They are making public infrastructure for free and selling just a sword when they need the money. Thaisha wanted to be a jewelry maker and everybody thought it was a great idea. Even now her truly calling and her families seeing as her grandmother is head of the order of Ancients, is healing the world from the damage done by the shapers. This is obviously great for them and the rest of the world, not to mention that in the long run it's probably more effective. I mean just look at what Thaisha did in episode 29 with the opening of the path to the orc souls freed by the ritual. I truly believe that if given enough time they will figure out a way to fix the barrow dels.
But if you are say Lady Halovar with your fake religion, you have to be terrified of the people who have the real deal. Especially because they are people who for all intents and purposes could be a real equal. They might not be sorcerers but their druidic magic is ancient and proven. To them Taisha is the equivalent of their representatives out in the world, and they know what theirs do. There must be nothing scarier for them than when Taisha showed up at the candescent creed unannounced. After all if they already killed a god what plans must they have for their petty priests.
