I have no idea what this person was talking about (I think it was the "eat my shit and hair" response to the chud on my diogenese post) and they blocked me before my response was sent to em but I feel the need to post this here because im pretty proud with this reply
I love scenes in movies where someone opens the door only to reveal that theyâre under attack by a crazy assortment of bad guys so they hastily close the (in retrospect very flimsy) door just as a second later a whole bunch of swords and axes and arrows and crossbow bolts get stuck in it.

Climbing is the Enemy
Doors might have frequently thwarted Vox Machina but in our campaign the Revengers (Morons) have had many problems with climbing.
Made a giant beanstalk and climbed up. The Bard with a tiny strength modifier got up no problem, the NPC Fighter took twice as long. The Cleric then failed the check to get down and fell along with the Fighter who crit failed and got impaled on rubble.
The group needed to go into an underground cavern but the entrance was covered in rubble, they tried to climb over and the Bard and Druid were fine. The Fighter and Cleric once again fell and both took damage.
The Cleric went down into a pit of dire wolves to try and get some pieces to complete a puzzle. Took 4 tries and the party distracting the wolves from above to get out of the hole. Fell 4 times but not from high enough to take damage.
I've tried to give them a ring of feather fall and they immediately gave it to the Fighter.
DM, you forgot the mountain.
Technically you guys didn't climb the mountain, but yes as the Bard points out there was a mountain... and a roc
And the Cleric who was snatched up and fell a good long ways before our lovely Druid dived in to save her
And I have to add this was after they got a ring of feather falling , which they gave to the npc, and could have easily saved one or all of their lives
This is what it feels like to play D&D at level 1.

Resources for Mending Clothes
We toss out over 80 pounds of textiles each year. These textiles are often made of plastic materials (polyester, nylon), made in unethical conditions, dyed with harsh dyes that often get put into the rivers, etc. Even a single cotton shirt releases carbon emissions and uses tons of water.Â
So the best thing to prevent the unsustainable growth of the fashion industry is to make sure that your clothing lasts as long as possible. To do so, mending clothing is a must. So here are some resources to help you learn how to do various things, such as sewing a button, to tailoring clothes, or even upcycling old clothing into new styles.Â
* How to sew on three different types of button
* How to hand sew on a patch on a torn pair of jeans
* How to sew up a hole in an old shirt
* How to sew a simple T-shirt
* How to upcycle old clothing into new clothing
* More upcycle and sewing techniques
* How to repair a damaged sock
* How to do an invisible stitch
* 3 different stitches to work with for different results
* How to make a T-shirt smaller so it fits you better
* How to make repairs to your shoes
These are just a few of the things that you can do in order to make sure that your clothing lasts for a long time. Nobody wants to keep buying new clothing, as it is expensive and wasteful.Â
So making alterations to your clothing, or fixing small holes hen you see them can be hugely beneficial to your wallet, to garment workers, and to the environment in the long term.Â

Hey, just so you know, the guy behind the pixie and brutus comics is a tr**p supporter
this is the worst news ive got in weeks
The artistâs name is Ben Hed and yeppp pro-trump.
HEY THATS ME
so the issue is wat exactly?
Trump, as I know you know, is trying his damnedest to take away a lot of peopleâs civil and human rights. His supporters necessarily support this -either because they actively hate us, or because whatever ânon hatefulâ reason they have to support Trump is more important to them than the fact he is, as I said, trying to take away a lot of peopleâs rights. So, when we see that weâve been sharing the work of a Trump supporter, we want to know about it so we can stop. We donât want to contribute to Trump supporters getting attention or getting paid for their art, no matter what the art consists of, because the person who made it either wants us dead/deported/fired or kicked out of our house for being trans/etc, or doesnât care that theyâre helping that shit happen. (And the distinction between those two things matters a lot less than you likely think.)
I just messaged the artist on his Instagram. This is NOT him.
Please spread this version. If he had a Twitter he would cross promo his Instagram. At least for the exposure.
Oh, thank God
I DONT THINK IVE SEEN THIS VERSION I AM VERY HAPPY NOW

For the last decade or so, Iâve been routinely attending a ride-on lawnmower race. Iâve always wanted to participate, but the high cost of used mowers is better spent on more practical vehicles, like literally anything else. Sometimes, though, the universe sends you a message. And in my case, that message came in the form of an awkward leg of a huge trade-in scam.
Picture, if you will, the humble redneck. They await the approach of big, fast domestic mowers. John Deeres, Cub Cadets, even weird modified Chinese stuff they looted from Aliexpress. There is jubilance, but that soon comes to an awkward hush. An unfamiliar engine note approaches.
My International 1480 combine harvester, all ten tons of it, is barrelling down the highway at a clip somewhere between âtepidâ and âjaunty.â Even though I have shown up for a race, I am sandbagging a little bit, making sure that the bets get settled against my vehicle before I show them the might of a fully operational monster such as mine.
Technically, there is no violation. I had looked at the rulebook from every angle in the previous year: it has the correct number of wheels, the proper agricultural intent, and with precise work on the tiller, it can even (poorly) mow a suburban lawn. Is it modified? Oh yes, yes indeed, but I see the nitrous bottles poking out from the rows of Kubotas at the starting line.
And when I leave the starting line, it is a thing of beauty. At least for a few milliseconds. It seems that the wizards at International Harvester simply did not comprehend of a situation in which the frame of their combine would be launched into the air by means of one thousand eight hundred foot-pounds of supercharger-bolstered torque. I had erroneously believed that the loose soil of the rural community would let the wheels dip in, but now I am facing directly into the sky, having twelve oâ clocked hard on my wheelie, shooting flames from my exhaust and whirling vertical blades of death towards the grandstand.
Itâs not about whether you win or lose. Sometimes itâs about how many pages you add to the rulebook.

headcanon: in DnD & similar settings, the reason clerics have limited spell slots is not bc their deity stops listening to them after a certain number of requests, but bc there's only so much contact with divinity that any mortal can withstand
the higher-level the cleric, the longer they've been in contact with the divine, and the more they can interact with that divine before it takes too much of a toll to continue... but it still takes its toll
@calamitys-child said:
I like this a lot n kinda like that it opens up a sort of last ditch effort mechanic? If youâre out of spell slots but desperate then you can have one more go, except whatever your spellcasting roll is becomes the amount of damage you take as a consequence of overreaching yourself
YEAH nd like. From a narrative and aesthetic standpoint, I'm really interested in what that damage looks like? a cleric of a sun god pushes themself too far trying to heal a companion, and as they force the power through their body, wounds open that seep light instead of blood...
just. divine damage is a hell of a concept.
I love stuff like this from a character flavor standpoint, a worldbuilding standpoint, and a Nice-DM-who-doesnât-want-a-TPK standpoint

See this is why I like and respect Bill Skarsgard. He's playing a scary character, but as soon as the cameras stop rolling he's all friendly and encouraging with his child costars. There's no bullshit "method acting" where he just keeps acting like a creep to "stay in character". He's an actor. He gets into and out of his role as needed, because that's what an actor is supposed to do. And he's getting all the kids psyched up in a fun and encouraging way. That fuckhead Jared Leto could learn a thing or two about playing a scary clown.
