First Date and A Good Night Kiss
Alright, I am back again with another Ardyn x Reader piece, since Iâve got some time to do so. This one was a little bit tougher for me as Iâve never really been on a date before so I had to fantasize about what Iâd like and then go from there so please donât shoot me for it. Yet again, please note Ardyn may be OOC but do enjoy!

You took a deep, shakey breath as you looked in the mirror one more time to make sure that everything was perfect before you went out on your first date ever. You were thankful that this wasnât considered a super formal date either as you didnât have any fancy clothes since you never tend to go out too much anyways. Still, you knew you couldnât be in just sweatpants or pajamas so you put on a nice pair of stretchy jeans and a nice blue top that had long sleeves but had any opening so air could get in and it hugged your upper body comfortably. Your (H/L) (H/C) was nice and neat compared to itâs usual messy state, you turned away from the mirror and pulled on your shoes before you left your room at the condo you were living at and headed for the local park where your date said heâd meet you. It was kind of funny how this happened really, because you had always admired this man from far away and yet he somehow noticed you one day when you had to take papers to his office. You had just exchanged pleasantries at first but after about a week the man finally asked you out for dinner at a nice casual place as he didnât feel like changing after work. You were okay with this and even told him that and with his dashing smile he got your number from you and arranged this date with you. As you approached the park you saw your date, Ardyn Izunia there in his usual clothes and hat with a purple tulip in his right hand, he smiled as he saw you.
âHello there my little bird, itâs good to see youâ Ardyn greeted as he closed the gap by walking over to you.
âHello chancellor Izunia, itâs a pleasure to see you tooâ you greeted, Ardyn tskâd as he waved his left index finger at you.
âAh, ah, ah, I would much rather you use my name as we arenât currently at workâ Ardyn stated, you felt a little uneasy as you were always told to be respectful of those in higher positions but you canât exactly go against your dates wishes either.
âV-very well Ardynâ you said, Ardyn smiled at you and his eyes lit up as you said his name.
âThatâs better, now before we get going, Iâd like to give this to youâ Ardyn noted as he moved his hands and put the tulip in your hair, just above your right ear, you felt your cheeks begin to heat up.
âT-thank you Ardyn⌠what does the flower symbolize though?â you asked, Ardynâs smile grew into a grin.
âTulips typically symbolize perfect or deep love and the purple one in particular symbolize royalty⌠I just think this flower looks beautiful like you and since I am going to b treating you like royalty in my own way tonight, I think this was very fittingâ Ardyn replied. Your face grew even warmer at that and you felt your heart begin to pound faster and harder.
âAh⌠Ardyn, thatâs really thoughtful and all but⌠I-Iâm not really special enough to be treated like royaltyâ you pointed out as you covered you face with your hands, trying to hide what youâre sure is the darkest blush youâve ever had.
âCome now my little bird, you are indeed special enough to be treated like royalty, now uncover that pretty little face of yours so that we can head over to the restaurant where I made reservations for our dinnerâ Ardyn said as he gently grabbed your wrists and lowered your hands from your face. You didnât try to resist him as his amber eyes locked into you (E/C) eyes, Ardyn released youâre your wrists, went right beside you and offered you his right arm. You took a deep breath and quietly took his arm and he looked elated tat you did so, he led you away from the park and into a casual but nice looking restaurant where a waitress greeted you two by the door.
âHello, do you have a reservation with us tonight?â the waitress asked, Ardyn nodded.
âWe do, itâll be under the name Ardyn Izuniaâ Ardyn replied, the waitress went over to the reservation book and read through it before pausing and looking up.
âPerfect, follow me pleaseâ the waitress said and then walked away, you and Ardyn followed the waitress to a set of stairs and went up to the second floor and out the door onto the deck where some tables with an amazing view of the sky were.
âAmazingâŚâ you breathed quietly as you were amazed by the view of the sunset, Ardyn chuckled.
âHere is your table sir and maâam, your waiter will be here shortly to grab your drink orderâ the waitress said and then left, you released Ardynâs arm and Ardyn pulled out your chair for you and you sat down as he brought the chair close to you.
âThank you Ardyn⌠this is a beautiful view of the sunsetâ you noted as Ardyn sat down across from you.
âI am glad you enjoy it my little bird as I wanted this to be a very special night for youâ Ardyn stated as he looked at the wine menu.
âIt already has been as Iâve never gone on a date beforeâ you admitted, Ardyn rose his right eyebrow.
âHow has one such as yourself not gone on a date before?â Ardyn asked, you sighed.
âItâs never really been my thing and no one has really caught my eye until nowâ you replied, Ardyn lowered his eyebrow and studied you carefully.
âSurely you donât mean thatâ he noted in a casual tone, you smiled.
âI do mean it Ardyn and I havenât regretted this choice at all so farâ you stated.
âIâm glad, how about we celebrate this⌠momentous occasion with a bottle of wine then?â Ardyn offered, you felt a little stunned, you donât understand how this was a momentous occasion but⌠you werenât going to deny a drink with the chancellor as not everyone gets to do such a thing so casually.
âIâd like thatâ you replied, Ardyn looked extremely please as he set the menu down and rested his hands on the table.
âNow that we have that decided, Iâd like to know a little bit more about youâ Ardyn admitted, you felt uneasy, you werenât one to talk about yourself and itâs kind of weird to do so as no one has really asked you before.
âSure? What would you like to know about me?â you asked.
âEverything as Iâd love to know more about my little bird who lives in a condo and yet has a job at the palaceâ Ardyn replied, you suppressed a sigh, you shouldâve expected that because most of those who work in the palace tend to stay there but a few donât.
âVery well then, Iâll tell you a litle bit about myself, but in return, I want to know a little bit more about you as youâre a mystery to meâ you said.
âAh but that is all apart of te fun of getting to know someone, is it not?â Ardyn asked, you nodded in agreement and you both began to tell eachother about yourselves. Time seemed to slip by as you and Ardyn spoke over some wine and dinner and as the moon began to come out you wanted nothing more than to have time stop as you were enjoying yourself but alas, time doesnât stop for anyone.
âThis was a fantastic dinner Ardyn, thank you so muchâ you thanked as the waiter finally brought the check over and Ardyn paid for the meal.
âThe pleasure was all mine my dear as I enjoyed spending time with you, alas, it seemed so shortâ Ardyn noted, you smiled.
âI was thinking the exact same thing, sadly Iâve got to get going as the streets tend to get dangerous going back to my place as the night goes onâ you admitted, Ardyn took a deep breath.
âThen wy donât I walk you home?â Ardyn asked, you shook your head.
âI canât possible ask you to do that Ardyn as you have to get home at a reasonable hour tooâ you replied, Ardyn waved his hand dismissively.
âI can do without a little bit of rest but it would forever haunt me if harm came to you while walking homeâ Ardyn countered, you felt surprised. Youâve never had anyone be so adamant about bringing you home before and it would be nice to not have to worry about being attacked.
âVery well Ardyn, just promise me that after youâve brought me hoe that youâll be able to get back to your place safelyâ you shot back, Ardyn laughed.
âOh my sweet little bird, I may not look idinnerI can hold my own if need be, trust meâ Ardyn said in a confident tone, you believed him and you both stood up and left the table. As you left the restaurant, Ardyn offered you his arm once again and you took a bit more confidently this time. You began to walk home under the moonlight and had never felt more protected than you did now with Ardyn by your side. You donât know if itâs because he was the chancellor or not but you werenât going to try and figure it out, you both silently walked to your condo building where you looked at Ardyn.
âAlright, this is my condo⌠I should be okay from hereâ he noted, Ardyn didnât look convinced.
âShould be doesnât quite cut it Iâm afraid so Iâll have to insist on escorting you to your room as wellâ Ardyn stated, you couldnât help but smile and giggle a little bit at his protective attitude but you werenât going to bother trying to tell him otherwise. You both walked into the condo and made your way up to the top floor and over to the door where your room was. You released Ardynâs arm, pulled out your room key, unlocked the door and opened it before turning around and facing Ardyn.
âNow Iâm back home, thanks again Ardyn, this was a really great nightâ you said, not sure if you wanted to tell him that you wanted to do this again with him or not.
âYouâre welcome, before you go though, there is⌠one last thing Iâd like to give youâ Ardyn admitted, you grew curious.
âOh? What would that be?â you asked, Ardyn smiled as he gently grabbed your chin in his right hand and tilted your head up before he leaned down and gently met your lips with his lips. Your face felt like it was on fire as your heart began to beat wildly and Ardyn pulled away as he released your chin with a mischievous smirk on his face.
âThat should answer your question my little bird and I see that you didnât mind itâ Ardyn replied, you felt a a loss for words and slowly you began to regain compsure and form a half sentence.
âA-Ardyn you just⌠I didnât⌠uhhh thank you?â you stammered out with a question more than said, Ardyn laughed.
âNow THAT is a priceless reaction my little bird and one that I didnât think I expected to see tonight, perhaps we can do this again⌠until then tough, please take good care and I shall be seeing you tomorrowâ Ardyn stated and then left. You stood there for a few moments in shock before you finally turned around and went into your room, you closed the door and locked it before running over to the glass door that led to your balcony. You quickly opened it up and went out to catch a last glance at Ardyn and within a few moments you saw him leaving the building. You wish you had said something to him or even called out now but you felt at a loss for words still and knew that nothing would make sense right now. You took a few deep breaths to calm down and as soon as Ardyn disappeared, you made your way back into your room and sat on your living room couch. This was one hell of a night for you and judging by what Ardyn had last said, this wouldnât be your last night being together with him. You let your mind begin to wander off and you slolwy began to space out, unaware of the time that was still passing before you, just as fast as it had while you were on your date.
