I figured there's no time like the present to make this post.
Hi! Im Eris. I've been here for quite some time. Much longer than I thought I would be lol. At one point I was constantly on Tumblr, probably around.....2014? I think? I was still in college and I used Tumblr mainly for fandom musings and whatever else caught my eye at the time. After graduating, I started working full time and I started to drift away. Some undiagnosed depression didnt help matters. I've pretty much been lurking ever since. Recently though, I've been wanting to get back into fandom spaces.
I'm kind of obsessed with AMC's Interview With The Vampire, and I'm growing very impatient waiting for The Vampire Lestat to come out, so I'm here to scream into the void with y'all about it. I've always gravitated toward online fandom, pretty much since the first time I had access to the Internet (back in......2002? 2003? JFC does that make me a fandom old now?). A lot of the fansites that I first started using are either no longer in use or they're so vastly different that I wouldnt recognize them anymore (Quizilla, LiveJournal, random message boards that I either helped to run/mod or actively participated in, Twitter when everything else shut down) I've always loved the sense of community that I found in these spaces. And it constantly blows my mind at how different things are now. Hell, I remember when talking about fandom in the real world was a big no-no. It still trips me out a little to see actual articles being written about it, not to mention the way that actors/celebrities interact with it nowadays (I'm looking at you, Bogosian).
Sooooo....if you are like me and want to scream at something with me......give me a follow :)
