A year ago today, we lost arguably the most prolific #songwriter in #seattle a “big brother” to a scene, an advocate for so many causes @chriscornellofficial Sending Love & Light to his family & friends. I didn’t know Chris personally, but his passing hit me hard, especially post the #templeofthedog shows & some pretty intense moments leading up to them. On the day he passed, I was scheduled to continue work with @thecomplexdialect on their album I was producing at @londonbridgestudio . When I got the news I called @phoenixchild and told him that I just didn’t think I could make it into the studio that day, that I would be useless. He said “I support you if you need to process on your own, but the best thing you can do is come in, be with your community, and keep making music.” I’m reminded today what an incredibly special #seattlemusic #pnw tribe we have. Let’s keep on taking care of each other fam. To quote another prolific mentor “I’m lost, I’m no guide, but I am by your side, I am right by your side.” 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 (at Seattle, Washington)
