Yes, this is me at the Granite Falls again, but this time, I'm standing on the salmon ladder there that they installed to help the salmon get upstream to spawn!! It's exciting to see them jumping up the ladder at that time of year!! Today, we just enjoyed the waterfall!! Petey loves to visit this natural wonder as much as I do!! It's such a beautiful place!! There's always something to enjoy there and we are always awestruck by the phenomenal beauty of it all!! ❤️ I visit here often because it's only 5 minutes from my house and I love waterfalls!!
On our hike, we discovered this itty bitty waterfall. I bet, in time, it'll grow up to be a big, beautiful waterfall just like the Granite Falls!! It's amazing how loud this little waterfall already is, isn't it? 😁😁😁 With time, water does such amazing things!!😁😍

“I would say that there exist a thousand unbreakable links between each of us and everything else, and that our dignity and our chances are one. The farthest star and the mud at our feet are a family; and there is no decency or sense in honoring one thing, or a few things, and then closing the list. The pine tree, the leopard, the Platte River, and ourselves - we are at risk together, or we are on our way to a sustainable world together. We are each other's destiny.”
― Mary Oliver, Upstream: Selected Essays
“But first and foremost, I learned from Whitman that the poem is a temple—or a green field—a place to enter, and in which to feel. Only in a secondary way is it an intellectual thing—an artifact, a moment of seemly and robust wordiness—wonderful as that part of it is. I learned that the poem was made not just to exist, but to speak—to be company.”
