The Dwelling (part 1/???)
i have known to believe my body was mine
and the heart in my chest
are mine to keep and mine alone
i have known to believe that my life was mine
that the experiences i gained
and the weaknesses i possess
are mine to keep and mine alone
in front of the yellow gates, the idea remained
the King said i was perfect
that the arms on my side held strength
that the heart in my chest held truth
my body moved on its own, or rather
Our body moved and walked and talked
We still had the same arms and same heart
though tainted with yellow
when We talk, i am far away
far from the person i built
far from the life i created
my body does not feel like mine (not anymore) my heart does not feel like mine (not anymore)
