I feel like I’m using this tumblr thing in a very wrong way, but for fuck’s sake no one really cares, right?

I’ve been trying to reduce my social media use for 3 months now, and honestly it feels GREAT. It feels like when I stopped eating red meat in the beginning. I feel shaky, there’s craving, and I got very cranky. After awhile, it feels fine then feels liberating.

Then one day there’s a complain from a friend, saying she saw me using my phone a lot but I rarely check her DM on Instagram or Twitter, or even reply her texts. Well, I do use my phone for hours and hours, but I use it to play video games (LMAO), using Tumblr, Reddit, and reading some manga. I’ve been playing Genshin Impact and Ninja Village and there are manga(s) ... let just say some are entertaining and others give me brain-bug every now and then.

- derek is nonverbal after everything, not because he needs more time to process, but because kiy invading his mind messed his ability to speak or basically, to do things

- same effects after stroke (more or less, still need to research)

- avery has to feed him and help him around

- der may be nonverbal but he tries his best to show his appreciation for avery

- der feels guilty for making avery his caretaker

- avery is honored to be his caretaker

- dermom visits whenever she can, always bringing food that lasts the two for a week

- dermom teaches avery to cook der's fav meals

- dermom leaves after der sleeps so she doesnt have to see his sad eyes

- avery works remotely because he wanted to be around der

- it takes a year and a half before der can walk completely without assistance (which is surprising! but it's derek, ofc he's amazing :))) )

- der's first words were "thank you"

- avery's name followed

- took a while before he can form sentences but at least, he can tell avery what he wants to say

- der repays avery in any way he can

- he started to work (also remotely) after 4 years since that day

- they celebrate der's recovery every year!

- after 5 years, theyre the ones visitng dermom <3 and avery's parents' graves

Avery’s eyes narrowed, jaw clenched. “Things change.” He spoke through it. Avery would not let this guy get the best of him. He is better than this. “And like I said, I will take my leave.” Surely, there are other tables in this stupid cafe.

AND THEN THEY GO TO THE SAME COLLEGE AND the reason why they became friends again was they took the same gen ed course (arts) and they became partners for this one project where they had to draw each other and avery posted a lot of his art in amino back then and now, he still used the same signature AND HE USED THAT SIGNATURE TO SIGN HIS PORTRAIT OF DEREK AND DEREK WAS LIKE "holy shit themostmayo??" and avery was like "D3RLORD3?!?!?!?"

and then they became so close, attached to the mother flipping hip close, which made their friends go "these guys r dating" but THEY WERENT at that time BUT THEN they all (including derek) found out avery was recently cheated on by his ass of a bf (hastur?!?!? idk) SO EVERYONE COMFORTED HIM and were like "dude we're so sorry he didnt deserve ur fine ass istg also we thought u n derek were dating????"

derek n avery (who was still tearing up and snotting) went "what??"

AVERY had to heal first ofc but they welcomed the idea of dating

and nurse derek,,, helping avery with his injuries and pressing an ice pack to his bruised jaw. derek's worried about avery but he knows avery never loses. thats impossible. never gonna happen. but he cant help but worry.

(they go home at the same time to the same apartment with their cats greeting them. they order takeout but most of the time, avery cooks because derek works hard enough for both of them)
