EQ16

So you have a character design for #equilibriUmsIxteen, huh? Well, before letting me and the other team members see, make sure you have followed these rules! Up to 5 winners will be chosen!

1) Each character is based around a color scheme. The character’s name must reflect that. Vermilion’s scheme is red, for example. Try to think of something original. Repeat colors are okay, since these characters in the contest will be side-characters and not part of the main twelve. Besides that, however, no repeat names or designs are allowed.

2) Please give ALL of this info: Personality in 5 words or fewer, pronouns/gender, two hobbies, and where they’d likely be (forest, ocean, lake, plains, cityscapes, etc). That will help me get a handle on where they will be encountered.

3) As long as I have a mental visual on the character, it’ll work! A cosplay is fine if you can’t draw. If you can’t do either, you can submit a detailed description of the character’s appearance. Just know that if you do it this way, whatever I get from the description and draw will be the design. No arguing on that, please.

4) No Undertale-esque characters. Please. This isn’t related to Undertale in any way, shape, or form.

5) Even if your design does not win, your name will be in the ending credits along with a sketch of the character, and you will be given a free copy of the game and soundtrack!

6) Nothing more than PG. This game is meant to be fun. However, you must accept the fact your character will die in the Bad Route. If you don’t want your character to be murdered by a small 15 year old kid, don’t submit them into this contest!!!

7) Keep in mind that each character will have a voice. It is dependant on you, not me, to find a voice actor for your character, whether it be you or a friend. I won’t find one for you, but we will have to approve of the voice actor for mic quality/acting ability. Got it?

8) Have fun with this and put your heart into it! Remember this is going to be a real game and not just a 99 cent thing on iTunes. Design the character with all your might!

9) 5 bonus points WILL BE GIVEN if you spread the word around about this contest by reposting this image with @fartosphere tagged on the image. You can only earn the bonus points ONCE. Do NOT spam your followers!!!

Contest will end September 4th, 2016, when each design will be judged on by the entire team behind EQ16, the currently casted voice actors, and I. The three categories we will judge your designs in are “Originality”, “Concept”, and “Design”. Your artistic abilities will NOT be counted as points, so even if you’re not as good of an artist as another person, you will have an EQUAL CHANCE IN THE CONTEST.
