It's Bella's Nameday today, and instead of thr usual shoving her in a clown costume looking so done with everything, she instead looks happy and unclowned!

I just wanted to digitise a sketch I did back in December out of boredom lmao.

I started playing Final Fantasy XI around a year ago due to gaining interest from the Echoes of Vana'diel alliance raids in XIV and a very well timed discount campaign. Tis an interesting experience playing a 23 year old MMO and being able to type and communicate quickly. I am enjoying the game quite a bit and am currently on ToAU in terms of missions.

last thing read: i guess if it counts i've been working on a script for a visual novel some friends and i are submitting to a game jam and i've been reading over it and making sure it's alright. for what it is, i think it'll be fine. other than that i did beta a friend's fic recently. admittedly i don't have as much time to read as i would like, which seems to be a resounding sentiment among my friends ^^'

last series watched: the mighty nein animated! my favourite of the campaigns so far, and i've been having a lot of fun seeing the story play out in a different format. also just as an animation student i can really appreciate it. i especially like how you can tell which d&d spell is being used at any given moment - chromatic orb is quite different from fireball, thunder step from misty step, etc.

last film watched: once again i am reminded to watch the new knives out. the last film that i watched was the old scrooge musical film from 1970. the netflix animated musical shares a few of its songs with this one. however, perhaps more of interest to some would be the film i watched before it, santa claus conquers the martians. it's as campy as it sounds, our family watch the mst3k version of it every year.

last song: ffxiv has me in a chokehold and its soundtrack is no different! as far as "song" by the definition of "has lyrics" goes, that would be "absolute tyranny" and "sinister" from the latest raid tier. completely different vibes, both very fun. i've also been listening to "more than truth" from the same game quite often, though not technically a song. it's a pleasant, contemplative rendition of "the maker's ruin," and is probably one of my favourite osts in the game.

sweet or salty: both is good. i like to have at least one sweet treat per day, but my antidepressants require i take a lot of salt, too. it's hard to choose, but i'd probably go salty.

coffee or tea: despite my typical username of deltaFrappuccino, the answer is easily tea. a good sweet coffee is a nice treat every once in a while, but a good boba tea is a treat that i will never pass up. as for the everyday, still tea. tania (our alter, we're not a group blog, we have DID) prefers coffee. heathen.

working on: aforementioned game jam visual novel! i'm also thinking of making a number of pieces imitating stained glass to represent each expansion of ffxiv i've played through thus far, and maybe collaborating on a fic with some friends telling the story from all of our warriors of light's perspectives. that's probably a way away, though. making bead bracelets as a hobby as well, as usual. aaaand just continuing ffxiv story/progressing into harder content.

Last thing I read: this one is kinda hard to pinpoint cause I suprisingly read a lot over the past week or two. Gonna split this into artbook and pure text shit.

Artbook wise, I ended up doing a little bit of a ffxiv artbook trade with someone in college and have been reading the books they lent me. and the two that I've read was "A Realm Reborn The Art of Eorzea -Another Dawn-" and "Heavensward Art of Ishgard: the Scars of War". I found the ARR one so interesting to read since it had so much good artwork and references for drawing along with stuff for the base game and concept art for some characters! I might get a copy of the book for myself sometime in the future.

For pure text, its a tie between the script for a visual novel as part of a game jam im participating in with some friends. Its been fun so far working on it and doodling character ideas from the writing. Another thing I've been reading was a Persona 5×FFXIV crossover fic called "Stars in the Dark" by Nshi on Ao3. Its basicslly Joker from Persona 5 getting isekied into Eorzea thanks to Lousoix at the end of 1.0 and goes throgh MSQ while finding a way to get back home to the Phantom Theives. I initially got into it after coming across some cool art on Tumblr of Joker as a Dark Knight with Fray having Arsene features which is hella cool. After finding out it was a fic, i decided to give it a read. Tis good for far and the author's artwork is really nice! They have an account on here which they post their doodles from their fic on here by the name of nshi-ao3! Their stuff is cool!

Last series watched: I think the last series I've watched was The Mighty Nein on Amazon with some friends. I haven't watched/listened to the original campaign this is based off of, but its been a lot of fun watching it!

Last film watched: the last film that I watched was Princess Mononoke over the Christmas holidays. Tis a wonderful film and the soundtrack is lovely. I support women's rights and women's wrongs.

Last song: kinda hard to pinpoint, but I have been listening to "Currents of Time" from Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia a lot this past week. Been playing a lot of that game as of late. Tis a nice relaxing song to chill to while waiting for your boat to arrive at your destination. And pray you don't get killed by the random enemies that spawn on the boat. Then again, I have been listening to quite a few songs from that game. They're really good from a 23 year old mmo!

Sweet or salty: suprisingly, i like both of these flavours! Ive found myself loving getting plain salted crisps in recent years and had the joy of having sea salt ice cream! That shit is absolutely amazing btw. Exactly how Xion describes it flavour wise in KH 358/2 Days! Always get it whenever I'm in a place with a Murphy's ice cream parlor. though if I were to choose between the two, id probably go for sweet since i just cannot resist it at the end of the day.

Coffee or tea: suprisingly, I hate hot drinks. Don't like how they feel on my tongue at all. So my answer is neither.

Working on: I'm working on a couple of things actually. Currently assisting with some artwork for the game jam mentioned earlier and also a short film for college. God have mercy on me for the latter cause imagine having prior experience in getting one of those done in a previous course. :')

also probably get around to playing more FFXI like starting the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion and finish Legends Z-A aswell. And get a drivers licence. I crave freedom from the countryside, Tails.

I'm not that good with backgrounds, let alone man-made structures, but I think it turned out ok. We don't know how much longer she will be around for, but we will remember her. Remember that she once lived.
