I HATE HAVING A LANGUAGE BARRIER

I can’t even bro, my whole family is Hispanic and I’m the only one who doesn’t speak very fluent Spanish. I can understand very well but I can’t speak for the life of me I’m too scared to get laughed at, and my family is always shaming my mom for it.

I was just at a cafe and my grandma told me to go order a pastry by myself and I was like “ok it’s ok I know how to say pastelitos de guava” and I actually did order well, but when paying, I didn’t know my grandmas PIN code, so I was like panicking and the lady just told me to take the pin pad with me to ask and I almost died of embarrassment.
