And it's still a vibe when I come on here.

Houston has much cheaper properties with less Property Taxes and association fees and more of them seem to allow renting. When I invest in investment properties in the future, the barrier to entry if I was in Houston would be considerably lower. Intuition also tells me Texas real estate is going to boom in the next few years. I could retire earlier than expected, and spoil my dad like i’ve always dreamed of. It is sad to think about leaving my family behind though. But it is beginning to seem like a good option for me at this rate. The logistics of it also stresses me out though. 

The last couple of days have been quite cloudy with no ray of sun to be seen anywhere, and I am reminded of my field trips on these cold gloomy mornings to the field museum nearly every year as a child. When I see the school supplies lining the shelves at every little store I get a sense of nostalgia but also a sense of dread. Candy bars, leaves swaying in the wind against the grey backdrop that is the sky this time of year, cold but not freezing, the excitement for the upcoming holidays, the smell of decaying leaves in the rain, it’s all very nostalgic and melancholic. 

can’t believe September is around the corner. It’s holiday season already.

I get this feeling quite often, yet my heart rate is just normal. It’s a strange feeling, feeling my heart racing but looking down at my watch only to tell me it’s like at 55BPM. lol
