Hey there Rotumblr! I guess just call me Swordie (They/Them). I'm your local Aegislash enthusiast. Well...maybe not local if you're not in Galar, but I digress.
Hexcalibur is my Aegislash, and I've been by his side for as long as I can remember. I'd love to talk about him, and I'm sure he'd love to know you! He's one of the best friends I could've asked for and there's so many stories I could recall that are sure to be a neat read.
So I hope you stick around. I have much to share, perhaps too much to share!
Pelipper mail is open for all your questionnaires and any people wanting to learn care for the Honedge line!
You can find my general blogs under #swordie speaks, any Q&A posts will be marked with #Q&A-egislash, and any informative posts on the Honedge line will be marked with #Honedge line care for dummies.
OOC INFO:
Absolutely NO NSFW interactions or content will be participated in, don't bother trying it.
This is a relatively low stakes blog, and will only post exclusively in character. Unless stated otherwise, assume everything they post about is "canon" to their particular story.
They're not so sure themself...but Hexcalibur seems to happy with the idea as well! Maybe once their studies are over, they can start working towards conquering the league!
But first, they have to conquer their own personal struggles first. There's a reason they've only been a spectator of competitive battles...
Who knows? Maybe their new partner on the way will be just the push they need to start pursuing it?

"I want to challenge the league but I only want to train x kind of pokemon"
Then do it. It'll be harder for sure, but you can do it.
"I want to be a pokemon trainer and travel the world but I'm an older person"
Then do it. it's never too late to pick up pokemon training, you're never to old to learn a new skill.
"I want to go on my Pokemon journey but I have a disability"
You can still do it. It'll be different, and in many cases harder, but it can be done- hell, your pokemon might even be able to help you.
"I want to go on a Pokemon journey but I don't want to go alone."
Then bring friends with you- or make friends. There's groups now on swablusky I saw just the other day for matching up with other trainers in your experience range to travel together.
"I want to go on a Pokemon journey but I don't have a rival."
You don't need one. If you have that kind of self-motivation to carry yourself further, you don't NEED a rival.
Pokemon training, pokemon journeys, pokemon contests, all of these things are for everyone. Your experience might be different or harder or strange to someone else. But that doesn't mean it's any less than anyone else's. If you're thinking about taking that step into the world of pokemon companionship? Do it. This is your sign to give it a try.
Yes, Hexcalibur will have the greatest case of resting bitch face ever concieved around you. Yes, this is the same sweetheart who reacts like he's being tickled when I'm polishing him, and insists that he sleeps using his shield like a makeshift pillow despite him being able to sleep basically anywhere he wants. No, I wouldn't want him to change for the world.

mines rock smash because of its usefulness both in and out of battle and it was also one of the first fighting type move my amazing falinks learned and taught me how to use once they mastered it.

[ID: A photo taken in a cave system of a wild Galarian Stunfisk in the middle of flopping around looking for a place to hunker down. Truly it possessed an unmatched majesty as it leaped through the air with such profound grace.]
You ever think about how weird it is Dynamax is such a normalized part of Galarian culture despite its horrifying origins?
"Yeah, this is a grim reminder of the eldritch terror that resides deep within the confines of Galar's lifeblood, and how it has once sought to, and will one day try again to bring about the end of days just because. Heck, it just happened recently too come to think of it. Televise that shit."
Not that Dynamax isn't hype to see watching tournament games, but it's wild how we've gone from fearing it, to actively integrating it into sports because some folks at the board thought it'd be mad funny.
I haven't looked into it much, but I wonder if Mega Evolution has some similar kind of anecdote to its origins? Maybe this is just a trend with how the world does things LOL.
As far as we know, Dynamax is something you can kinda just...do, and only in close proximity to power spots. LOL.
I Diantha used Mega Evolution during her match against Leon a long time ago during the year the PWT was held in Galar.
Gardevoir, right? The battle happened when I was very young, but I remember something about Mega Evolution being a huge talking point around town with how close it brought Leon to his first defeat.
Oh, that’s alright. Gardevoir is Diantha’s ace, yes. Leon is… known for being unbeatable, isn’t he? I’m honestly not surprised. Mega evolution is powerful if you know what you’re doing with it.
He did! Well- was. Him and Charizard really seemed unstoppable for the longest time, especially after his INCREDIBLE showings in overseas matches right before his title was claimed against prolific trainers like Blue, Lance, and even Cynthia who had just come off the heels of her own unbelievable winning streak! Its a running joke that Galarians never shut up about how he's both unbeatable, and has a Charizard, but he really did, and still continues to bring so much life to the sport! Even now he's had almost unmatched showings in the SBC, and Unova's PWT.
When he was defeated by Gloria, the trainer he went on to admit that he himself endorsed, we were all shocked, and just as much excited. Leon is still seen as a local legend, even after his reign as champion ended, and will sometimes make appearances in Wyndon Stadium for a rematch with Gloria, or just for some plain fun. No matter what he's doing, he always seems to make the battles he partakes in some of the most explosive I've ever seen, and he's probably part of the reason why I got so enthralled with watching them in general.
That was definitely also a tangent, but I imagine most people viewing this blog are used to them at this point.
Though, on the note of Mega Evolution potentially being dangerous if not done properly, I guess Dynamax isn't so different in that sense.
I don't think I need to explain how giant Pokemon that were never supposed to be as big as Dynamax allows can be dangerous. Especially when, without a Dynamax Band to channel that power, they go on a mindless rampage that is usually only able to be quelled by the effort of multiple trainers, often times having to utilize Dynamax themself just to stand a chance.
Luckily, Dynamax is only able to occur within close proximity to power spots, so they tend to be quite easy to track down, and keep in check. It's why the gyms, and stadiums in the Galar region are typically built on, or in close proximity to power spots. It allows trainers to harness it within battles, while keeping the Pokemon themself safe from harm from the phenomenon by ensuring they never receive outright direct exposure from the power spots.
This was a good exchange though! I'm glad I got to learn a bit more about Mega Evolution on a post I made entirely just for the goofs.
Uhhhhhh I hope my little Dynamax infodump suffices.
Figured you might need an insult to keep in mind for annoying 'clients'? Even though it's usually male-centered on the insult list...but it might still be useful!
"Heh. An insult with that level of musicality could only be Galarian in origin. I'll keep that one in mind for the next time Jacinthe is being her usual insipid self."
Not sure how this came across my feed, considering I neither have access to Mega Evolution, nor watch streams very frequently, but I've recently been looking into this because of insight from another recent interaction I had in this platform.
If I had to pick right now, I'd say Salamence. Salamence's evolutionary family is a species that's always fascinated me, and it looks so graceful being able to glide through the air the way it does.
I mean, it's nicknamed "The Blood-Soaked Crescent". How cool is that!?

woah, that sounds terrifying. I live in southern galar- near the slumbering weald- and I've seen fog just set in all of the sudden a few times before, have never been able to figure out what exactly caused it. best guess was some pokemon using misty terrain. was it something like that? a sudden fog, or a natural one?
Oh, I didn't live anywhere near the Slumbering Weald at the time, but I have heard of such stories. As far as I can tell, this was something else entirely. All I remember before I passed out was the forest going dead quiet, and then barely being able to see in front of me. It must've been a trap of some kind in hindsight, but I couldn't begin to tell you what could have been behind something like that.
Regardless, I'm over it as of today. Still doesn't feel like that day was real sometimes, especially because a lot of it is still entirely unexplainable. I would normally say something along the lines of "Pokemon are capable of crazy things.", but I can't even be too sure it was the work of a Pokemon, or just an otherworldly experience.
