I was cleaning up my art folders when I got a bit hyper fixated on this ol sketch that deserved a face lift

After a convo this evening I realized I needed (or wanted, rather) to draw Auri as she is in the first couple of weeks in Linkon- exhausted, underweight, suspicious of everyone and everything, sleep deprived, and at the literal end of her rope. Quite literally strung out on adrenaline and crashing HARD. She’s neither in a good mental health space nor a physical one either. And it’s such a massive change from how she ends up after the Ever hit is finally dealt with and she’s coming back to the city.

Silly convos lead to me realizing Auri will be such a menace during pregnancy 😂 Greyson will weaponize that neurosurgeon degree to the fullest extent the very first time Auri so much as stumbles in her 4+ inch heels while pregnant, and she is NOT happy about it. This scuffle happens every day she’s forced to wear flats (aka from month 5 to delivery 💀)

Day 2- Casual clothes

Grey’s favorite pastime is using his technicolor wardrobe to match Auri’s outfit when they go out, be it fancy or casual. Unfortunately Auri prefers pastels and neutrals, and Grey is all vibrants or jewel tones. So he works with what he’s got lol. He’s also very melodramatic when flavors aren’t as advertised. The bloomshore shops hate this man.

Today is 11.11, the day Felix and Auri were shot by the Ever Corp assassin sent to retrieve Auri’s work. I wanted to do a special little piece for it and highlight some of poor Felix’s ‘after’. While Auri was off in hiding on another continent, Felix was going through some intense procedures to rebuild his shoulder. Grey of course came to nanny check on him every day, but it was a poor substitute for his desire to fuss over her.

When Nare took over her care, she allowed them to write handwritten (aka, untraceable) letters after several weeks of silent separation, but it was apparent that she wasn’t handling the isolation well. Grey absolutely hated that he alone couldn’t “fix it”, but was ultimately incredibly grateful to Felix for lending his voice to her emotional wellbeing (especially after sacrificing his physical wellbeing for her).

Lark is the first one to point out to Grey that his… ‘acute dislike’ of Felix is probably because he’s jealous of him, which causes a floodgate of realizations for the poor man regarding his situation with Auri. Admitting to himself that he still loved her was almost as hard as it was telling it to her.
