18. My muse has to live out one fantasy for your muse.
"Looks like I have no choice but to do what you ask. Alright don’t be shy Gilbert, I am now at your complete mercy. What fantasy do you want me to live out?"
"I want to go on a date…" Gilbert shifted, blushing as he did so. He was rather embarrassed by his request. "A nice, romantic date…"
Draco had to pause from his surprise and then an amused, but sincere smile, spread over his lips, "then we will go on a date to wherever you wish." It had been a while since he was required to be romantic, but he was more than willing to try with Gilbert.
[Magic]al Interlude
The second day of classes had been going well for the reaper. After discussing with Dumbledore things were worked out and because of his being a creature with some magical elements he was able to channel that to use magic the same a wizard. It certainly was not as easy for him and he would need practice, as well his spells were not as powerful as a real wizard’s. It was better than not being able to do anything.
When Draco came in to his class William looked over and caught the boy’s eye, just a hint of a smirk on his lips before looking away at the rest of the class. “Hello, students,” he started once they had all sat down, “After yesterday’s classes I hope you all thought some about what Draco had showed us. Would anyone else like to try, or shall we have him demonstrate for us again?”
Draco kept his eyes and attention averted away from the teacher as he tried to find something else to focus on like the window. Irritation flicked through him when he stared at it long enough to realize nothing at all was happening outside, the wind was not even blowing. He felt his eyebrow twitch in his rising emotion that was difficult for him to contain, especially when that teacher was in the room. He could feel William's eyes drilling a hole into him.
On instinct he did feel his eyes snap to William upon hearing his name and he cursed inwardly at himself for being such a simpleton and giving into baser instincts (or was it his ego?). He stared at William feeling himself inwardly cringe when the teacher took another jab at him but he stayed resolute, and most importantly, silent. He was attempting to be a good student but even he was unsure how long it would last. He just wanted this class to be over with now.
Slytherin Table Pesterings |Draco & Astoria
The barking laughter behind her caused her already pink-tinted cheeks to aflame. Her skin was crawling and the blood underneath was boiling. Someone rubbed her shoulder sympathetically but she just shook her head before she twisted around and glared at them. She happened to meet the silver orbitals of the most talkative of the bunch rather her sister that was blissfully ignoring her and pretending her hand wasn’t slightly burnt.
"—-You lot are so funny!” she exclaimed childishly, causing more houses to start to look their direction. Even the professors mildly noted the scene. A ghost was cocking his head to the side and blowing out a breath, muttering something under their cold breath.
“Honestly!” she continued, “You should get awards because you manage to laugh at everyone to distract from the fact you’re the pathetic bunch! I’m glad I’m not in your house.” Narrowing her emerald eyes, she flickered her gaze from the back of Daphne’s blond head, to Draco, then a quick scan around the bunch that were minding her and quietening their snickers to hear her. However, not all the Slytherins were joining in on the jest, there were a select few that kept to themselves, only glancing at the scene.
With a huffed breath, she set a hand on her bench before beginning to turn to finish her meal. Just then, a head popped out from the center of the table—-the ghost of Ravenclaw, oh-so-casually. Astoria let out a girlish squeak before the apple in her hand went flying behind her and as she spun around, she just caught it breezing past her sister’s ear before it landed on the potatoes, causing it to spray everyone in distance. The brunette’s mouth went into an o as her eyes widened drastically. ‘Sorry’ was on her tongue but…..bloody hell, that was amusing.
Draco thought the whole matter was over and dealt with for the tim being the moment the haughty Ravenclaw marched herself away from the Slytherin table. He was merely concerned with finishing his meal in peace and she greatly impeded that from happening with her presence and attitude. The Slytherin's had their own precious dynamic that was for them, and them alone. It hardly mattered Astoria was a pureblood, she was still a Ravenclaw and thus was easily dismissed by Draco as "just another student" that could simply sod off and leave him be.
Much to his indignation it was not over, Astoria just kept going by exclaiming across the great hall so everyone was able to hear her and her personal squabble. The whole Slytherin table seemed to roll their eyes in unison. The whole matter had overgrown and was now out of control that it fueled Draco's annoyance and caused him nearly to lash out, but he minded his own business for the time being. He could only hope by ignoring the whole matter that it would just simply die down or Astoria would just stalk away leaving them all in peace. Draco's crumpets on his place took the brunt of the Slytherin prince's annoyance as he stabbed his fork into them, sliced aggressively with his knife, before sticking the piece in his mouth and chewed. The situation had to be over soon because honestly, how long could it last?
Before he knew it he saw an object whizz past his ear and land in the potatoes in front of him causing the food to splatter on his person. He was ridged at first in disbelief that it even happened in the first place. The day was wearing on his nerves already and it had hardly begun. His face twitched as he fought giving into baser instincts; instead he dusted the potatoes off of his clothes, face, and he stood up while brushing them out of his platinum blond locks. Draco turned and faced Astoria, "can you be anymore irritating if you tried? Go take yourself elsewhere because you ruining everyone's meal at this point," he sneered. Because of her he was going to have the smell of potatoes clutching to his clothes all day and that was something that his pride refused to accept.
Poor Astoria was gaining ground very rapidly on his list of people that simply had it coming.

Changes || enigmaticpureblood
Gilbert climbed into his wardrobe to change inside, hiding the various scars that covered his entire body from his roommate’s view. He did not desire to show his worst shame to the other, or to anyone. When he had on new boxers, pants, and a new shirt, he crawled out, finishing dressing. He grabbed everything he would need for the day after messing with his hair and smiled. “Ready.
Draco worked on his hair in the meantime simply brushing his hair rather then greasing it back like he had years before, he just allowed it to fall naturally around his face; people seemed to like it more this way. He took one glance in the mirror at himself to ensure his appearance fit his own discriminating taste before his eyes shifted over and were captured by Gilbert emerging from the wardrobe. Intrigue sparked through the Slytherin prince seeing his roommate in their house's robes for the first time. The friendly smirk claimed his lips as he then nodded, "off to breakfast we go then," he replied and led the way with his chin lifted up high.
The Slytherin common room is located down in the depths of Hogwarts and reaches as far out as the lake. It’s darkly light with a greenish tint and while it may not be the warmest place, it is suppose to be one of the most relaxing rooms thanks to the sound of the water surrounding them. The entrance is through the dungeons and requires a password that is changed fortnightly and then pinned to the noticeboard inside. Upon entering you will notice the vast windows that offer a unique underwater view. The giant squid is amongst the many weird and wonder creatures said to frequently swim past. The rest of the room is appropriately decorated with skulls, leather sofas, dark wooden furniture and grand tapestries that cover the walls celebrating famous Slytherins throughout history.
"I see…" he mumbled, sighing softly. He looked back into soft grey hues, a small smile upon his lips. Gregory let his head fall onto Draco’s shoulder, feeling comfortable. "I think if none of it had happened, I would be just like the ones that follow you around. Like a lost puppy." The artist chuckled softly, turning his head to press a small, feather light kiss to his neck, warm breath gliding over the smooth, pale flesh.
Draco passed a glance over at Gregory when the prefect's head fell against his shoulder. A mere year ago he would have felt disgusted a muggle was attempting to be intimate with him, but he had grown up in ways that his own father would not approve of. "Perhaps, I would not know. I just know that I am quite content with the situation we have now even though both of us had to suffer in the past," he found himself admitting out loud. A blush did claim his cheeks when he felt the kiss. Draco's mind was unsure how to process the affection but he found himself nuzzling closer to Gregory rather than away from him.

[{Enigmas}]
"I recall your nose being stuck in my knuckles as I planted one on you." She shot back. If Draco was fishing for a sort of argument, she would gladly hand that over, no questions asked. " So you’re hardly one to talk about any negative traits someone has that you despise of." She added, pausing for a brief moment, "Are you scared, Draco? Scared that a muggle born witch has more power of a pure blooded wizard with the temper of no one other than a child?"
If he was going to attempt to call her out in front of his housemates and embarrass her or belittle her, she wouldn’t allow it nor would she stand for it. Her words were cut rigid with no sort of intention on backing down. “You need your housemates to egg you on for you can not do it yourself, is that what I’m clearly seeing? If so, you should really come back at another time when you can stand on your own two feet that your father has given you so willingly.”
When she turned around, she heard his words barking back at her, slicing her nerves through her body with no intent if it was bothering her, “Malfoy, I suggest you stop while you’re ahead and won’t make a fool out of yourself in front of your classmates.”
Hermione Granger was ready to fire back today, that was invigorating to the Slytherin teen. It was like doing a verbal dance with someone who could actually keep up with him for a change. Crabbe and Goyle were all brawn and no brains, then Harry and Ron lacked in the verbal retort department on occasion but Hermione never skipped a beat. That did make sense to Draco because, whether Hermione liked it or not, the Slytherin was just as much as an adapt at school as her and was the one who's grades and test scores fell right after her own. He was not stupid, just an immature bigot who's attitude was carefully crafted by his father's.
"Scared? Hardly Granger, I could never be scared of you because when it comes down to it I was brought up to be a part of the magical world when you are just a bloody outsider," Draco chided back almost instantly as he looked her right in the eyes keeping himself standing erect and prideful, he would never allow her to perceive that she was ever getting to him in any shape or form.
Draco quirked an eyebrow and his smirk spread across his thin lips, "fine, anytime you want Granger, just you and me. I have no problem at all with that," he raised his eyebrows in his usual way when he was amused and he hopped down from the tree and brushed off his robes looking her right in the eyes, "I could never be scared of you."
Slytherin Table Pesterings |Draco & Astoria
"Oh, I’m sorry. Is my presence disturbing you? Look the other way then." Astoria bit out, not really in the mood to tolerate the Slytherin Prince right then. It was a risky move and she’d probably live to regret that, but she had matters with her sister right then.
“—-Daphne. Just,” She turned to the other blonde which was her sister, who was of which stabbing her eggs determinedly with her for. “..stop ignoring me then whispering behind my back.” she snapped, glaring fully at Daphne.
"You have no proof that I am." The Slytherin smirked in return, popping eggs into her mouth as she gave her sister a shit-eating grin; one of which was perfected to get under Astoria’s skin. She could feel her blood boiling right then as she clenched her stomach. Suddenly, Daphne dropped her fork and hit her arm with the very hand she was using to eat.
"Don’t do that! God." She was rubbing the hand where Astoria had accidentally cursed to give her sister a streak of heat. That was something she couldn’t control at times but the quirk of a dark eyebrow told that it was nothing accidental about it.
”Don’t try and taint my reputation just because your large ego says you can do whatever you want just because your sister is in a different house!” Astoria shot out, glaring, “Is that what this is about still? I can’t believe you brought that fat oaf into this either!” She was kind enough to add, pointing in the direction of Crabbe who couldn’t hear over his own chewing beside the Malfoy heir, shoving biscuit after biscuit in his mouth. The green-eyed witch looked vivid, face red with anger and betrayal….as well as embarrassment because of all the side eyes from the scene she was making. A snicker happened here and there from behind her and at the Slytherin table. No one from another house dared to sit with the snakes, and Astoria not only sat there but decided to start something as well. It was like stepping into a shark tank with meta strapped at your ankle.
"Oh the Ravenclaw has some fire to her," Draco looked at his friends as they all let out a series of chastising laughter at Astoria's expense. The Slytherin house was certainly not known for their sense of hospitality. "But yes bird brain, I do have a problem with you," he finished off with a sneer. His remarks may have finished but he was not done with her. No one was able to say such things to his face without facing some consequences for the Slytherin Prince did not enjoy having anyone defacing him in any sense even if they were just standing up for themselves.
The pureblooded teen had watched the rest of the the exchange between the Ravenclaw and her sister Daphne. He hardly knew Daphne because she ran in the group of friends with Pansy, they did occasionally cross paths but there was not anything about her that kept his attention for long. This was the first time that he had come to the realization that she had a sister in a different house, no wonder Daphne did not readily talk about Astoria when amongst the other Slytherins. When not all family members were sorted into the beloved Slytherin house it was considered to be a slight against that family's bloodline, they were seen as not as pure as the families that attended the house for generations. This was a rather immature view on the whole matter but Slytherins and purebloods were unwavering in their perception of what made a "true" witch or wizard. No other house was good enough for a majority of the prebloods
Draco's attention snapped back to the Ravenclaw when her voice raised over the normal speaking level, she stood up and stalked back to her own table where she belonged. The whole situation was highly amusing to all of the Slytherins so it was no wonder why they erupted in laughter after her. If Astoria was embarrassed she deserved it ass far as Draco was concerned, what else did she expect when she sat with them? It honestly made him roll his eyes at how stupid the whole situation was as he just focused on finishing eating for the time being.
He would think of how to deal with Astoria's insult to him later. He would deal with it that was for certain. She was in a different house and in a earlier year so he did not know when the opportune moment would arrive, but nothing was impossible...
Hermione felt her chest begin to tighten and expand a little more than regular, and her fists clenched into balls, her nails digging into her palms as she recalled the memory of when she had hit him in the face. No, not hit. Decked. And Merlin, was she relishing in that memory now. But this was Hogwarts, and the muggle style of fighting was immensely frowned upon. Still, just to get one hit in would have made her feel better. She reminded herself to breathe, to give it a few seconds before the anger and frustration subdued. "Draco Malfoy, you ignorant blood supremacist.”
Her feet did not dare move from where they were planted; she wanted to make sure he didn’t continue to wander when she turned her back. That, and it would have really been bad for Hermione if she had turned around and received a spell or curse when her back was turned. That was something she presumed Draco would do. At the moment, she was only focused on what she could say that would get his blood as boiled as hers.
"Not only does pointing out my blood status show something about me, but it shows something about you, too."
It looked like she was picking a fight in the middle of a dimly lit corridor at Merlin knows what time, and she didn’t doubt that’s what it looked like, but it was late and she was tired, which was not a good combination. It usually resulted in emotions, and lots of them.
In his earlier and "less mature" years, Draco Malfoy would have found himself verbally lashing out against the mudblood degrading her until she was a submissive mess. Now he was mentally drinking in her harsh words almost welcoming them because for once in his life he was starting to believe he actually deserved them. He was coming to the conclusion that it was ultimately best to be hated by people, the less that people genuinely cared for him the better at this point. All of them were just going to hate him when this plan began to unfold so it was best to win their animosity now, Granger would certainly be one of the easier ones.
"Taking the high and mighty ground as always Granger, so you may stick up your nose at the rest of us and be fully justified in doing that," Draco spat out in response. He would never have time for Hermione Granger's morally high and mighty way of speaking and acting, to him it was just annoying noise.
Draco took a moment to observe their situation and scoff at it. Their situation had not really changed much since their first year, but he had been a naive boy back then and Hermione had - admittedly - matured some as well. Their emotions were just so much more poisonous to one another now making Draco truly wonder if Hermione hated him yet.
The pureblood found himself leaning closer toward Hermione as the candlelight showed off how pale he had actually got over just this previous year. He looked almost haunted. "Let me give you a little tip Granger, for what is about to happen in the world, high morals will amount to nothing when everything is crumbling down around you," Draco looked into her eyes before he stepped back to wrap himself in the shadows again.
Hate me, he wanted to urge, just hate me and it will be easier to accept what I have become.
If you are here you are most likely looking for Prince Arthur. For the time being I am Merlin his…

"Not easily, no." Harry smiled at the other. He was growing rather fond of his new friend, there were aspects about him that were somewhat similar to Dudely, but he was kind.
"Good, I think I may keep you around then," Draco's playful smirk grew a little wider as he relaxed in the boat. He looked Harry over then glanced at Hogwarts. He was excited to be at a new place with someone that he knew he actually could be good friends with.
"Your new life is about to begin Potter, drink it in."

[Magic]al Interlude
Shortly after Draco had gone William himself got up and left the classroom. He was headed to Professor Dumbledore’s office but passed by the dining hall on his way. He paused a moment and glanced inside, seeing the silver-haired boy and locking eyes with him for just a moment before walking off.
It was rather interesting to the reaper. He had often been in charge, being the manager at this job with the shinigami. However, he had never thought he would work with children. So far, Draco Malfoy had been the most interesting student the teacher had met, and the most troublesome he was sure of. “Ah, Professor Dumbledor, I am here to talk about my uses of magic.” he said as he entered the headmaster’s office, his train of thought about the Slytherin boy forced to be put on hold for the time being.
It was a day later and Draco Malfoy was certainly not looking forward to going to that man's class again. William T. Spears was interesting enough to the young Malfoy, but he also royally pissed off the teenager. It was a frustrating dichotomy to him to try to wrestle with. He was distracted the whole day by his feelings about the whole situation as he tried to parse out exactly how he felt about this new teacher. Part of him just wanted the man to leave him alone forever, and the other part was afraid if that did happen. It was frustrating as all hell to the teen who's world was immaturely black and white.
The class period did eventually rear its head and he entered the Defense of the Dark Arts classroom with the other students. As always he sat in his section with the other Slytherin students chatting with them and doing his up-most best to just to mask the fact that he was so conflicted inside. A Malfoy was never allowed to show his weakness to anyone.
[The {Wanderers}]
Jack stopped at the MI-5 building, his stomach clenching. That was where Ianto had drawn his last breaths, in the poisoned air in the MI-5 building. He clenched his fists, and spun around, heading back to his own place. The immortal could not go long without remembering the events in full, and he knew that if he were to break, it was not going to be before hundreds of strangers, but in the private confines of his own flat, away from all nosy eyes.
Once he was there he thought once more of the boy he had ran into. There was something about him that was different, and Jack was damned if he did not learn what it was.
Draco had managed to get into his new furnished flat. Upon first glance he momentarily grimaced when seeing it hardly held a candle to Malfoy Manor - a detail that would be obvious to most but he had never lived anywhere but there and Hogwarts. He closed the door behind him with a considerable frown and headed to his bedroom to put down his luggage. He would unpack later, he had to do other things in the time being. He kept his precious belonging secured in his pocket as he headed out to the outside balcony that was attached to the living room of his flat. For the first time in his life he observed the Muggle world. Truth be told it was hardly impressive but it was so unknown to him and he was not sure where to begin or how to begin his new life.
His misty eyes scanned the sidewalks below. Muggles appeared to be so small and insignificant to him, yet they endured through the most of the horrific events possible.
It was when he glanced around the sidewalks that he saw that man again. He gritted his teeth instinctively ready to withdraw into the safety of his apartment when he reminded himself he was safe up here. He was fairly certain this man could not fly, but something about him bothered Draco very much and made him desire for this stranger to be as far away from him as possible. So why did it seem that they were two moths drawn to the same invisible flame?
