Band-Aid is creating a range of bandages that "embrace the beauty of diverse skin," including hues that better match the skin tones of black
Band-Aid is owned by mega corporation Johnson & Johnson, which never would have come up with this if not for the success of Tru-Colour Bandages, which went viral with bandages for people of color years ago, as well as multiple other companies such as Ebon-Aide, Browndages, Nuditone, Chameleon Bandages, and even Urban Armour.
It took this long to color bandages and they weren't even the first ones to do it. They should at least credit the multiple companies that stepped up with the idea first.
Band-Aid will also most likely sell these for much cheaper and drive the original businesses out of the market.
Here is just one example from Target's website
A pack of 100 for $6.99 ($0.07 per bandage) will absolutely outsell a pack of 20 for $2.79 ($0.14 per bandage). Band-Aid will absolutely profit off of selling this product at literally half the price.
Please hold large companies like Johnson & Johnson accountable for profiting off of the ideas of small businesses and running them out of a niche market they supplied first.
By the way, if you're looking for companies with diverse ranges of skin tones in bandages, make-up, shapewear, and dancewear, please check out FleshTone.net
Dancewear Products & Reviews
If not for this website, I wouldn't even have known so many companies already had bandages in darker skin tones. I've also found that they link skin tone pointe shoes and other dancewear which are very rare to find for ballet dancers of color.
I'm trying to educate myself as best as I can. Even if you're white like me, chances are high that you know someone who is in need of this resource.
Nice try, College Board, but I'm not stupid.

If you regularly listen to ASMR while you sleep, consider watching videos by creators that have pledged to donate revenue to BLM related charities and bail funds. A simple search of âBLM ASMRâ on YouTube will get a few results, but check your favorite ASMRtistâs channel to see if they have any have information related to donations and the protests linked in their descriptions.
â ď¸ IF YOU LISTEN TO ASMR PLEASE STOP SCROLLING â ď¸
I have so far compiled a playlist of 24 videos that you can play while you sleep. If you havenât been able to watch other charity playlists, this is your chance. This is the absolute simplest way to help. Open the playlist, find a video (do not listen from the playlist or youtube might not count your view), and watch it through without skipping ads. I know ads are pretty annoying for ASMR but many of these ASMRtists have exclusively meditation based advertising for apps like headspace.
ASMR videos where all ad revenue will be donated to charity. All of Cara ASMRâs revenue for the month of June will be donated, so please che
*Also be sure to look out for videos from your favorite ASMRtists! If you find more ASMR videos with descriptions like these, please notify me so I can add it. I will be updating the playlist continuously as I find more videos. I will also update the description for special cases, like with Cara ASMR, where monetization is not limited to the videos on the playlist.

So thereâs a homophobe in my math classâŚ
Him (speaking to our table): I couldnât stand being next to a gay person. Theyâre so weird and canât shut up about how gay they are.
Me (externally) : Oh, okay.
Me (internally) : You fool! Me! Me is the gay!!!! Fear my weirdness!
Hey, fun fact! Heâs in my Spanish class this year and he said his gender was a pineapple so heâs pushing all my buttons!!
Now that Iâve graduated I should probably update this, so here it goes:
The last class I had with him was last year, when he was a senior. I made my second update towards the beginning of the year but by the end I think, like most rude and obnoxious teenagers, he toned down a bit. Looking back, Iâve realized I also said some pretty stupid things when I was figuring myself out. I think most of what he said was purely to get a reaction, because I noticed he would act differently in different classes.
Because I didnât have any friends in Spanish class, I had to sit with him and his friends and really depended on them for a lot of projects. One of his friends was actually really sweet and whenever we were partnered up he would listen earnestly while I explained conjugations instead of just asking to copy my work. The boy I called âhomophobeâ actually didnât make any more rude jokes after pineapple gender, never used any slurs to my knowledge, and while I canât say with certainty that heâs completely changed since math class I know what we say as teenagers isnât indicative of our future progress. He helped me when I didnât have anyone, and his group of friends was kind and accepting enough that I think he couldnât wish for any better group to set him on the right path.
The last time I saw him was the last day of his senior year, when we were having a class party, and he thanked me for bringing pan dulce. I wish him the best in all his efforts, and I think itâs good to remember that heâs still young and inexperienced. I ask that you please not make any comments or judgements about this boy and simply appreciate the joke that he was sitting next to a gay person the entire time. Because thatâs the point.
He didnât know if I was gay or straight. He was hateful for the joke of it, because as soon as he saw that I was completely alone he and his friends took me in without giving a shit what I found attractive. Thatâs how kids are. They hear and see and learn things without understanding what it truly means, but once they see someone that needs help their true nature takes over.
When I was younger I thought seniors were practically adults. Many are legally adults. Iâm sure many of the young impressionable people on this site have that same idea. But itâs simply not true. We canât âcancelâ someone whoâs just getting started. Many teenagers havenât even had their first job yet, or lived away from their parents. I can see now how unprepared you can be, even at 18. Itâs scary, because now everyone expects you to be an adult and have opinions on things you never even cared about before. Many of us default to our parents, because thatâs the opinion we trust most. Mom and dad are Democrats or Republicans, or Religious or Atheist, so thatâs probably what I am too. Many donât have the benefit of belonging to a minority that goes directly against those beliefs, so their self discovery is much more difficult. A person would have to reach out and get to know someone from the oppressed community, which is often discouraged, to realize what theyâve been told is wrong. If that boy had known I was gayâif I had told him on his last day of school that the person he shared multiple classes with and asked for homework help from had been listening to his nonsense for two years straight and was the exact opposite of what he thought I should be. If he knew that the exact qualities he helped me with, my timidness and lack of friends, went completely against the loud and obnoxious stereotype in his head, I wonder where he would be right now. I wonder what that would have done.
He âcouldnât stand being next to a gay personâ, but he did. He did for two years. A gay person helped him in a math competition and gave him their prize candy (he liked the type, I didnât). A gay person sat with his friends and taught him Spanish vocabulary. A gay person is now asking for kindness on his behalf because they made a mistake and judged him unfairly, and now people he doesnât even know, people who donât even know him, are casting their judgement.
I, gay as I am, and offended as I was at his comments, am vouching for him. Wish him love. Wish him success. And wish him the stability and security he needs to grow. Heâs a good person. Give him the space to prove it.

Heavenly Officials: The Ghost City is a den of evil, a mysterious and dangerous place. You can literally die if you walk in by accident.
Meanwhile, in the Ghost City:
it is constantly amazing and terrifying to me the amount of propaganda that is necessary in order to sustain capitalism
I'm not saying this to sound so smart and evolved, I'm absolutely including myself in this. I am constantly in awe of how much I have had to unlearn and how much more I need to unlearn. The first time I saw someone criticizing the nuclear family model, I was completely taken aback, and now I fully recognize the ways in which this social family model perpetuates abuse, poverty, and neglect.
And the capitalist class really has us believing that the products we consume have something to say about our identity. It's fucking wild.
The United States is a country that believes that the availability of 27 different types of Oreos is somehow an indication of freedom while people starve to death on the streets and die because they can't afford a medication whose price is artificially inflated.
The idea that someone can earn (and therefore deserves) millions or billions of dollars is absolutely asinine! The myth of the "self-made millionaire" is an outright lie! And yet both are bedrocks of American culture.
If anybody's still looking for friends, I'd love to help. I'm in SoCal.

Does anyone remember playing Bella Sara Adventures and collecting the cards when it was big from, like, 2007-2012? It was such a big thing when I was a kid but now it seems like no one played.
Doesnât matter, I already went on a tirade making content for this game I played a decade ago.
