KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE (1989)
“My work is timeless because it’s based on the beauty of the human body and the fascinating world we live in,” said Thierry Mugler.
Never one to shy away from daring endeavors, Mugler staged photoshoots in some of the world’s most breathtaking settings including: icebergs in Greenland, the White Sand of New Mexico, and the Tlalpan Chapel in Mexico City to name a few.
Here, Claude Heidemeyer poses on the edge of the Chrysler Building for an aptly-named photograph, “Vertigo,” in 1988. Mugler’s keen eye as a director resulted in photographs and campaigns that helped to convey his exhilarating point of view.

Spontaneous thoughts looking at this collection (Thierry Mugler Fall/Winter, 1987 - Claude Heidemeyer):
Their arms stand up, three women on the snow:
Like a lover, like an opera singer, like a circus presenter.
But what if it was nothing like that? What if I was wrong three times?
What if they reached out like Michelangelo's Adam to God?
What if their God was not a bearded man, but something else?
What if there was a legion of women whose God was blue like the underbelly of an iceberg,
Elusive and aloof and spine chilling like the howl of the cold wind?
What if their God was glacial and wide-eyed?
And all of His priestess were glacial and wide-eyed, too?

Muchos saludos.
Franz".
