giraffes reassuring those with sensory processing disorder!!! :)))

i have autism and my physical senses are heightened a lot more than most neurotypical people, so i experience sensory overloads and i’m generally easily overwhelmed in terms of senses.

i get called spoiled and picky and many other things when i can’t do certain things because of my heightened senses. i know what that feels like, so i’m here to say your disorder isn’t your fault and it’s okay to be more sensitive than others!

just some t-rexes reminding male victims of trauma that they’re just as valid as victims of other genders!!!

• include the type of animal you want. it can be more specific or it can be more general, whichever you prefer (ex. “pomeranians” as opposed to “dogs”)

• if you want (aka not required!), you can send specific pictures you want, but try to make sure the background is transparent so the editing is easier. if completely necessary, you can send me an image that isn’t transparent, but make sure the background and the animal is easy to differentiate and that the edges of the animal isnt too detailed.

• (not required but it helps to make sure it’s close to what you’re looking for) try to include something you want the positivity to be about (ex. “recovery”)

• please tell me before you ask if it’s something potentionally triggering! (ex. “trauma survivors”) this is for positivity and i want it to be a safe place for those with triggers

that’s all i can think of as of right now, but it might change some later on !
