The criteria in my country for the trans diagnosis are:

You want to live and be accepted as a gender other than the one you were assigned at birth

You've felt this way for 2 years

Did you miss the entire breakdown in my post that says that you can be coded and covered by insurance as transexual if you experience just gender incongruence or identity as transgender? They won't stop covering our care because people you feel aren't trans in the "right way" are getting care.

I experience gender dysphoria. That's the diagnosis I had that covered my medical and surgical transition. But the code for that diagnosis is "transexual" and any of the diagnoses under that one are coded that way.

I literally had top surgery today. Stop running into the point and screaming that it's wrong because you don't like it you immature fuckwadd. There is no reason to have issues with those as qualifying diagnoses are the issue that will strip transgender people from our rights. The wait lists are long not because people without dysphoria are getting gender affirming care, they're long because THAT'S HOW ALL SPECIALISTS WORK! some are more booked out than others because they're highly desired for their results and care so more people go to them. I didn't have a long waitlist for my surgery. I may have wanted it for 10 years but I wasn't on a waitlist until the last couple of years. And the only reason it was as long as it was is because I had unrelated issues with my health insurance and it resolved. My consultation was in October and my surgery was in May. And most of that was time I was uninsured temporarily. People who qualify for this code are valid and their care will be paid for with insurance as long as that plan covers gender affirming care at all.

Anywho I'm not going to damper my good mood and euphoria arguing with people who refuse to listen to facts. Have the night you deserve

I didn't luck out at all. I got my care because I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Being transgender is not a "serious condition" it is a state of being. You do not need to suffer to be transgender. Your gender just needs to not align with the one you were assigned at birth. I am not trans because of my dysphoria that made me want to rip my chest off myself. I am trans because being perceived as male fills me with euphoria.

And nobody except for you brought up people with fetishes being diagnosed as "transexual" or getting gender affirming care. It's a very weird thing to admit.

It's entirely possible to not feel anything towards your assigned gender but being perceived as a different gender fills you with joy and glee. And that can make someone trans.

Giving treatment to non-dysphoric trans people is not going to strip dysphoric trans people of our access to care. The waits are long because that's how long most specialists have for any sort of appointment. The wait is long because you're trying to get care from a popular provider. The more people who get treatment from a specific provider the higher the wait times will be.

I didn't have a long wait for a consultation because I changed from waiting over a year for a consultation with my primary care provider's office because of how booked out they are to my health insurance's provider. The only reason I had to wait so long was because I was removed from my spouse's health insurance for lack of paperwork and then had to wait for them to get me back on. And then when it was my surgeon was taking a trip. And then it was about a month after they came back when I had my surgery.

Again: I am diagnosed with gender dysphoria. I was coded as being transsexual. Adolescents and adults who do not experience gender dysphoria but do experience gender incongruence or just identify as transgender are also coded as transsexual. Stop blaming your fellow trans people for the shortage of healthcare providers who do our healthcare. Blame the medical system for being a joke and not encouraging more people to do the fields we benefit from. It is not the fault of people who experience gender differently.

I literally had top surgery today. Stop running into the point and screaming that it's wrong because you don't like it you immature fuckwadd. There is no reason to have issues with those as qualifying diagnoses are the issue that will strip transgender people from our rights. The wait lists are long not because people without dysphoria are getting gender affirming care, they're long because THAT'S HOW ALL SPECIALISTS WORK! some are more booked out than others because they're highly desired for their results and care so more people go to them. I didn't have a long waitlist for my surgery. I may have wanted it for 10 years but I wasn't on a waitlist until the last couple of years. And the only reason it was as long as it was is because I had unrelated issues with my health insurance and it resolved. My consultation was in October and my surgery was in May. And most of that was time I was uninsured temporarily. People who qualify for this code are valid and their care will be paid for with insurance as long as that plan covers gender affirming care at all.

Anywho I'm not going to damper my good mood and euphoria arguing with people who refuse to listen to facts. Have the night you deserve

I didn't luck out at all. I got my care because I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Being transgender is not a "serious condition" it is a state of being. You do not need to suffer to be transgender. Your gender just needs to not align with the one you were assigned at birth. I am not trans because of my dysphoria that made me want to rip my chest off myself. I am trans because being perceived as male fills me with euphoria.

And nobody except for you brought up people with fetishes being diagnosed as "transexual" or getting gender affirming care. It's a very weird thing to admit.

It's entirely possible to not feel anything towards your assigned gender but being perceived as a different gender fills you with joy and glee. And that can make someone trans.

So MOGAI is an acronym that stands for Marginalized Orientations, Gender Alignments, and Intersex. It was proposed like a decade or so ago as an alternative to LGBTQ+ because including every orientation and gender identity in the acronym is very difficult with how vast the experience of humans is. And using the + can be seen as just going "and then those other ones" which can feel dismissive. So the term MOGAI was proposed and I added that into my bio to show that I support the use of that term. It unfortunately never took off but I still support it.
