I just read the grace year and i liked but, spoilers, the whole love story between Tierney and Ryker doesn't sit right with me.
He wants to kill the girls in the camp even if he never has killed one, he still wants to. And they act as if those girls are the monsters that keep him and the others (Anders, ...) living in poor conditions but those girls have less freedom than them. Him and his colleagues killed 16 girls that year. And to have Tierney fell in love with Ryker felt so weird. She wanted to gain freedom with working and not marrying for her to fall in love with a man that only saved her because of a promise is kinda out of characters to me. And doesn't make any sense, Tierney wanted to protect the girls from the crazyness of the grace year and Kriesten but she stayed way longer than she should have with ryker like, a few girls might have not died if she had come-back.
Also her father saving Anders when he has five daughters so five potencial victims is also crazy to me. I understand that he did it to protect Tierney but still.
Overall I liked the book but I was severly disapointed by the love story between Tierney and Ryker
