do you think it would be against the spirit of empty spaces for someone to make a website that categorized all witch and doll types in the style of the scp foundation?
So ... if it's presented as "this is what empty spaces is", imo anything more solid than Sheepwave's community-sourced "what is a ..." rather goes against the wonderful vagueness that makes it an interesting context to write in. Nothing is set in stone, not even the foundational metaphors. Everything is up to the individual writers.
The better way to do it, imo, would be leaning in to the conceit that they're in-setting documents, with misconceptions and misunderstandings and mistakes. Maybe some lies too. You could use them as vehicles for stories in the same way that a lot of SCPs do.
But, y'know, that's just my 2 cents.
the idea is information presented in-universe, so it's not, "here's what a doll is", it's "here's the results of research X's experiment with a doll, however these results were contradicted by..." etc
Echoing everything Else said here. I could definitely see something like that working, so long as it's clear that it's *a* definition rather than *the* definition.
