Do I believe that Goetia was most beautiful as the King of Men who lived and died a fleeting existence who, at the end of a 2000 year journey, finally understood the worth of humans and thus him coming back would've negatively affected what I loved most about him? also yeah.........

I was willing to accept that if it meant we could see him again but in the end, his story was preserved and it's hard to be too mad about that. Especially since it being Lev/Flauros also plays into a detail that I really loved from Temple of Time: that being when Goetia was defeated all the demon gods who were left without a driving force ended up splitting and following very different directives with some demon gods even turning against the others and helping the servants. So Lev carrying on with the original reasoning behind Goetia's plan but in his own way is a charm point to me lol. plus, he inherited Goetia's unparalleled haterism, pettiness, and pride, especially in the face of Ritsuka <3. Or maybe it was Goetia who got that from Lev? Lmao
