like, he started out on the N64, why the &!?& is he not playing inverted??? we had so many spats over this playing through the yakuza series. the camera is stuck to the back of my head, his is on his eyes … invertX+Y is love, invertX+Y is life

on another note, the NSW2 port seems to be alright, if you’re fine with locking the FPS to 30. the fluctuating framerate in cutscenes without the lock is driving me nuts. then again, i’m very sensitive to framerate issues, many others are not. the graphics are workable at 1080p docked, like high desktop settings with shadows turned down. haven’t yet had the time to do a proper comparison, though. hope digital foundry do a proper technical overview soon.

a WoLG’raha mixtape

mood: roll up, time to try your luck. it’s a die that only ever rolls one number. it’s never the one you want. still you keep trying, because what else is there?

genres: mostly dream pop, shoegaze, synthpop, soft rock.

notes: a mix for a complicated relationship. this WoL belongs to someone else, or isn’t able to fully accept G’raha’s feelings for some other reason. there’s always hope, though. it’s funny how this one actually started out all bleak and mopey and just generally in a bad space, but somehow the sun still broke through, all dreamy and psychedelic and sweet?! that’s G’raha for you. no repairs needed, just a spark!

we got a new tv a while back. it’s way larger than anything we’ve had before, a whole 77 inches.

my husband, another ffxiv player, has been observing the journey, and suggested i’d start playing on the tv connected to his computer. in his words —

genres: new wave, downtempo, trip hop, singer-songwriter stuff? starts out a bop and slinks into a chill. well, relatively so. either way, it’s more introspective and sedate than the previous parts.

moods/themes: dramatic, waxing lyrical, violently (and sexually) frustrated. these friends just don’t know where the former starts and the latter ends, and it’s just a ticking time bomb to the world at large. the obsession is mutual and intense. a world of mask-off indulgence.
