I've held back drunk people's hair and rubbed their backs while they were hung over the toilet and asked if they were alright afterwards, but I don't really think that constitutes taking care of someone. I think that's just being decent when you're with someone who has had a little too much to drink. I'm not going to leave someone to themselves to choke on their own vomit and pass out. I would never forgive myself.

Does the idea of snow peaked mountains and a large lake sound appealing? To look at? Sure. I'd prefer to travel to places where I'm not vacationing in snowy, wintry climates. We see enough of that for much of the year where I live.

Do you have a fairly fast or slow internet connection? It's much faster now. Definitely not as fast as I could get in more urban areas, but fast enough for my needs. Compared to the package I used to have, it feels like heaven. I used to think the tier I had was sufficient, but then I started gaming on top of all the other things I use the internet for, (browsing, TV, VoIP phone) and was like, omfg. this. is. so. SLOW. Figured out around the same time that my modem was failing, which obviously made things even worse. ISP sent me a new modem and I bumped my package up and now I rarely have an issue.

What is the longest time you have gone without sleep? Days. It was really hard to sleep soundly in the hospital. I was uncomfortable and scared and traumatised being there for so long so young, mostly on my own.

Have you ever been someplace tropical? Kind of? I went to LA once. Compared to the weather here at the time that we left and not having been well travelled, I definitely considered it tropical.

If given the opportunity, would you act in a commercial? Buddy, at this point, if it pays enough for me not to have to worry about losing my housing and being thrown into group homes or long term care, even for a short stretch of time, I'll do it. Anything to stay afloat and stay here in particular.

Who was the last person to call you? My voIP provider. There was an error with automatic withdrawal on their end and they double charged me for the month of July. I sent an email to support as soon as I caught it and it took them some time to get back to me. A rep called earlier to ask whether I wanted it refunded as a transfer or credited so that the month of August is considered paid off. I chose the latter.

Does anyone in your family tell funny stories? No, they say fucked up shit at my expense any time I'm around all of them together that they THINK is funny, though. (Spoiler alert: It's not funny. Like, ever.)

When riding a bus, do you prefer to sit up front, down back or the middle? I didn't really have a choice. Always had to sit where the tie down spots for wheelchairs were.

No. I was supposed to take the train when we go to AC/DC because I refuse to ride in the car with Dad driving anymore, but I'm going with Brittany now. She's going to pick me up and drive us there instead. I would have liked to go on a train, since I've never had a chance to, but Dad's work schedule always changes and as deeply as I love that man, I just don't trust him not to do some stupid shit and I don't feel like babysitting him in a large, completely unfamiliar city.

Are you normally a person to tell people off? I'm usually quiet, keep to myself and stay under/off people's radar, but boy if you push me hard or repeatedly enough, I am a completely different person. Especially within the last several years since so much shit has happened that I let people get away with that I shouldn't have. I got so sick of people and so sick of letting things slide.

Name an object that most would consider odd that’s special to you? I can't really think of anything too odd. I'm very attached to my PS5 and take very good care of it. People who don't play video games might think it's kind of stupid to love a console that much, but I was never really into gaming when I was younger and video games are so cool these days. It's something that's different from a lot of the other things I would usually do in my free time and takes my mind off a lot of shitty things I have to deal with. It's also probably the biggest purchase I've made in recent years that wasn't a necessity that I actually had to save up for, and I had some help toward the end of saving for it that I never would have expected. I don't usually have much support and don't like to ask others for things. So, yeah. Means a lot to me. I mounted it on the wall so my cat can't fuck with it, put the cord in a cord protector so she can't chew or pull it, I periodically dust it so it doesn't get shit stuck in the vents and start overheating, got as much extended warranty protection as was offered, and always completely unplug it if it's bad weather, regardless of having surge protectors. I kind of baby the shit out of it, lmfao. But I want it to last a long time. I've had it for several months now and there's still features where I'm like, "I can do that? That's so cool I didn't know that!" I have so many games in my queue to go through that I got at steep discounts, too. I'm trying to play completely through all the ones on the console right now before I get into anymore. I'm running out of space, lmao. What animal have you always wanted as a pet but couldn’t have? Seal Point Siamese female kitten with really blue eyes. I want to call her Elizabeth Taylor because Elizabeth was my favourite old Hollywood star and the press literally never shut up about how pretty her eyes were. I always thought it'd be really funny. I was meant to get one right before I got Nippy, but Nippy needed me more. She was not in a good home. I wasn't sure if I was ready for two at once at the time since I'd never really raised my own animal from a baby before, so I took Nippy instead and she's been an only since then. I kind of wish I hadn't overthought it so much and had taken both of them. I still think about that Siamese all the time, and Nippy was BAD as a singlet. Omfg. I looked for another one not long after she came home, but haven't found one that doesn't cost some obscene amount of money. I'm still looking, but it might get to a point where I don't want to subject her to trying to acclimate to another cat. We'll see. I'm definitely never adopting a single kitten again if I'm in the market for another pet after Nippy passes. Littermates or two the same age adopted at the same time going forward. If I can handle Nippy, I can handle anything. Bitch is crazy. I love her *so* much, but she just turned 3 and homegirl is still basically a giant kitten. I feel like she's still gonna be chasing her tail and slamming into walls and hanging out on top of doors when she's 10 years old. They're an important resource and we need them. I just hated the people there and the environment I was working in at the time.

I usually leave it unlocked when I'm here in case I fall and someone actually happens to hear me screaming for help through our thick walls. Maintenance guy works a lot and I'm paranoid about people not being able to get my keys for a while and me having to be on the floor longer. Particularly with an injury or break of some kind. Can't really plan a fall or an emergency situation, so I may not be close to a phone or able to get to it. Even if I were, I know my mum couldn't be fucked to answer most of the time and it's still faster for emergency services if my door is not locked. When I'm away, it's always locked.

Once people entered the stairwells, they were forced into a dungeon where they had to fight to survive through 18 floors. Killing monsters, learning spells/abilities, leveling up, etc. All of your usual RPG type stuff. The twist is that it is all part of an alien game show, so they are being monitored and recorded and the show is being televised to the alien's home planet. The main character, Carl, entered the dungeon with his ex girlfriend's cat, Princess Donut, and they have to work together to (hopefully) complete the dungeon. The cat gains the ability to talk, and she's great. <<<< This book sounds like a trip. I'm gonna look it up! Last one I read was a memoir by Marilyn Monroe's older half-sister. I haven't finished it yet, though.

I've hurt myself many times out of deep seated frustration/sadness/anger. Struggled with self harm off and on since I was a teenager.

Even if someone drinks to excess, it doesn't automatically make me think less of someone. My default is to assume they're probably struggling with addiction and it's probably for a reason. I try to hold empathy and compassion for that.

x29 What if they did drugs? Same principle applies here. Just because I hold compassion for someone who struggles with addictions or engages in certain behaviours doesn't mean I agree with it or feel as though I can have them as a constant part of my everyday life. I have very strict boundaries, even when it comes to my own relationship with my Dad. I love him like crazy and I'll be crushed the day I don't have him around anymore, but love isn't enough. I can't love him out of addiction or love him into making better decisions. I try to be there for him as much as I can. I usually call him every weekend without fail. I appreciate him and everything he's done for me very much. He's not my blood and never owed me a thing, but he also deeply affected me in a lot of not-so-stellar ways and I can't make myself sick over him and the things he chooses to do or not do. It's still sometimes hard at 34 to convince myself that his actions/choices were/are not my fault and worrying about/checking up on/being there for him is not solely my responsibility.

What is something you dislike about the dating world? People. What gives you confidence? I'm not confident. My wife does sometimes when she reminds me why she loves me and why she's with me. Usually helps a little. Generally, my confidence is in the trash. Is there a habit you’re currently trying to kick? No.

Have you ever dated someone with very different sexual tastes than you? No. I wouldn't be able to date someone too dissimilar to me or incredibly vanilla. Wouldn't work out. Sex isn't absolutely everything, but sexual compatibility is important to me. Have you ever said anything you regretted while drunk? Yes.

If you get into a fight, or think you might, would you throw first punch? I physically wouldn't be able to fight my way out of a wet paper bag if my life depended on it. Do you consider yourself daring? Yeah, but my body holds me back from a lot of the more daring things I'd like to be able to do. Do you speak your mind or do you keep to yourself? I definitely speak my mind a lot more than I used to when it's warranted. Just day to day I usually keep to myself, though. Have you ever flirted with your best friends BF/GF? Hell no. Would never betray either of them like that. If their significant others started something, I'd finish it. It'd be shut down so fast. Like, sir, are you lost? Lmfao. What’s the latest youtube channel you’ve discovered and binge-watched?   I can't think of a YouTube channel, but the latest podcast I binged was Behind the Bastards. Their multi part episode deep dives into how problematic Dr. Phil and Oprah both are.

What’s one thing that makes your shoulders hurt? Man, I don't know. I'm severely physically disabled with chronic health conditions alongside, I hurt all the freaking time.

Do you think your hair looks better long or short? Long, but I've had some cool short styles too.

Would you rather hike a mountain or dive into the sea? Physically wouldn't be able to do either. I would choose being in the sea if I were to be lowered into it with some assistance, though. Once I'm in water, I'm a strong swimmer. Dad is the only one who knows this, apparently. Rest of my family assumes I can't swim :/ Maybe you'd know if you'd ever bother to be around me for more than ten minutes to do anything like that with me. Would you rather grow wings or a tail? Wings. I keep seeing things like this come up in surveys. Like I said, flight would be the next best thing to being able bodied, I think.

Which Barbie doll was your favorite? Oh I don't know. Apparently there's a disabled Barbie these days, though?! I never had one. I wish I had seen representation like that. That would've made me feel so happy and seen as a child.

What are your top three favorite girl’s names? boy names? I picked names for my kids before I knew I couldn't have them. My wife and I also discussed names together that she liked or that we both liked when we discussed possibly having kids together at one point. Neither of us can now since she got sick. She's also pushing 40, so doesn't want to end up being a high risk pregnancy had we tried. For girls we had Abrielle or Olivia for first names, and for boys we had Mateo, Levi, and Luca.

What is something you always wanted to do that your parents never let you? Develop close, genuine relationships with them where I feel like I can trust them, tell them things, and that they actually like me instead of resenting me.
