Shigaraki Tomura Information (New)
Shigaraki Tomura (死柄木 弔)
Real Name: Shimura Tenko (志村 転弧) Alias/Job: Symbol of Fear Affiliation: Villain [League of Villains] Age: 19 Height: 5'9" (175 cm) Build: Gaunt, wiry, deceptively resilient; Sickly pale skin tone Scars/Markings/Piercings: Mole on bottom right of face, cracked skin, chapped and bleeding lips, horizontal scar across the left side of his mouth, horizontal scar across right eye, scabs and chafed skin on neck from scratching Hair: Blue-grey, jaw length, unkempt Eyes: Red Blood Type: B Birthday: April 4 School: N/A Rank: S Class Villain Social Hierarchy: Human Scent Profile: Formaldehyde, plaster dust, miso, menthol
Omegaverse Only: Alpha
QUIRK: Decay
Type: Emitter
Tomura’s quirk allows him to disintegrate any solid object he touches with all five fingers. Initially limited in scale and control, it evolved over time into an area-effect decay, capable of eroding entire buildings or battlefields in seconds.
Abilities:
Disintegrates anything or anyone touched with all five fingers, causing the target to crumble into dust regardless of whether it is organic or inorganic.
Decay spreads rapidly through the affected area, eventually consuming an entire body if the victim cannot amputate the decaying limb in time.
Eventually evolves into wide-area effect decay that can erode structures, terrain, or groups of enemies from a single point of contact.
Allows partial activation with fewer fingers for more controlled or precise destruction once fully developed.
Creates cascading collapse that jumps from the initial target to surrounding matter, enabling building-level or battlefield-scale annihilation as it develops
Functions as both offensive weapon and environmental hazard, turning solid ground into unstable dust pits or isolating targets.
Limitations:
Requires direct five-finger contact to activate in its base form, making it vulnerable to gloves, fluid manipulation quirks, or particle-based defenses.
Early versions recoil painfully on the user when deployed at full power, causing self-damage.
Quirk factor is tied specifically to his fingers; loss of hands or fingers would render Decay unusable.
Ineffective against liquids, gases, or non-solid states that cannot be physically touched.
Careless handling can trigger unintentional activation, leading to accidental destruction.
Area decay still requires an initial touch point and can be interrupted if the spreading effect is destroyed before completion.
Equipment
Disembodied Hands: A set of fourteen preserved hands from his deceased family members, worn across his face, arms, and torso as both costume and psychological anchor.
Father: The primary hand covering his face, belonging to his father; provides a constant, nauseating sense of calm that suppresses his panic and dissociation.
No additional weapons or gear; relies entirely on his quirk and the hands for psychological stability rather than practical utility.
TITLE:
Tomura Shigaraki is the self-proclaimed Symbol of Fear, the living embodiment of everything hero society failed to prevent. As All For One’s chosen successor, he stands as the antithesis of All Might’s hope — a walking reminder that when a child is abandoned, abused, and ignored, the result is not redemption but rot. To the media and the public he is an erratic, terrifying specter of unchecked quirk evolution, the villain who turns symbols of stability into dust with nothing more than a touch. Within the League he is the corrosive force that dismantles the old order, the one who proves that the system’s discarded children can become the very collapse it fears.
BACKGROUND:
Born as Shimura Tenko, he was the grandson of Nana Shimura — All Might’s mentor — but raised in a household that despised heroes. His father, embittered by Nana’s abandonment, ruled with unrelenting psychological and physical cruelty that shaped every corner of the boy’s early life. As a child, Tenko was relatively normal, even kind and compassionate. He held a great love for his family and a strong, innocent desire to become a hero someday, dreaming of saving people the way the heroes on television did. However, the constant abuse he suffered from his hero-hating father made him psychologically fragile, leaving him terrified of his mere presence and flinching at the sound of his voice. Because of this oppressive upbringing and the inaction from the rest of his family — who turned blind eyes or offered only hollow smiles — Tenko felt that his whole family never truly supported him. He came to believe that the house he grew up in masked rejection with kindness, growing increasingly isolated as the abuse grew worse and more frequent with every passing year.
When Tenko’s quirk manifested for the first time, Decay spiraled completely out of his control. Unable to understand or restrain it, he unintentionally killed his entire family in a single horrific moment of disintegration. Left for the streets covered in blood and dust, the boy wandered broken and unrecognizable from the trauma. No one came to his aid. Passersby did their best to ignore the blood-soaked child, crossing the street or averting their eyes, and Tenko internalized every averted gaze as punishment for what he had done. The memories of that night soon fractured and faded under the weight of shock and grief, leaving him as nothing more than a hollow, lonely shell of a boy drifting through the city with no identity and no direction. Even after being beaten by two thugs who saw an easy target, he still tried to repress the murderous urges that now simmered beneath his skin, clinging desperately to the last fragments of the compassionate child he used to be.
When All For One finally arrived and offered him help, Tenko broke down crying from sheer overwhelming emotion; the first kindness he had known in what felt like a lifetime. The man took him in, promising safety and purpose, and for the first time in years Tenko felt seen. Upon taking his first deliberate step into villainy — donning the severed hands of his dead family members and hunting down the thugs who had attacked him — All For One rewarded him and renamed him Tomura Shigaraki, setting him on the path to becoming the future Symbol of Fear.
But this salvation came at a terrible cost. All For One began to groom him deliberately and methodically, abusing him psychologically, physically, and sexually with the explicit goal of filling the boy with pure, unfiltered hatred — for the world that had ignored him, for the heroes who failed to save him, for society itself, and eventually for the very man who claimed to be his savior. Tomura was treated as a pet at best, deliberately rejected whenever he reached for genuine connection or affection so that the anger would remain sharp and usable. Shortly after taking him in, All For One assigned him Kurogiri, an S-Class Nomu whose personality was slowly sculpted through neural grafts from caretaker to an emotionally restrained, efficient handler. Giran served as a secondary handler until Tomura’s early teens, when All For One determined the boy no longer needed such close supervision once Kurogiri’s programming had fully settled.
That fractured dynamic still lingers heavily. Tomura expresses a great amount of respect and attachment for All For One, always referring to him as “Sensei” or “Master,” showing open concern for his well-being, and even carrying his family name in a way that symbolizes a twisted father-son bond. Yet beneath the loyalty simmers a growing revulsion and torn discontent; the hatred All For One so carefully cultivated has yet to reach full fruition, leaving Tomura caught between the perceived need for his mentor’s guidance and the creeping realization that the man who “saved” him may be just another system waiting to be decayed. The hands he wears are both armor and prison, a constant reminder of the family he lost and the identity he was forced to bury. Everything Tomura has become — the rage, the nihilism, the compulsions, the dependence on Kurogiri for emotional regulation — was engineered from the ruins of a boy who once only wanted to be a hero. By the time he steps into the League of Villains as its leader, that boy is almost entirely gone, replaced by the Symbol of Fear who now carries the weight of a carefully cultivated collapse on his cracked and bleeding shoulders.
PERSONALITY:
Ragged, restless, and dangerous. Tomura presents as an immature, unstable teenager — compulsively scratching his neck, throwing tantrums, and framing everything in video-game metaphors. Beneath the childish outbursts lies a deep, corrosive nihilism forged from abandonment and betrayal. He does not care for life; he resents existence itself. Early leadership of the League was defined by erratic violence and total dependence on Kurogiri for emotional regulation, yet beneath the chaos burns a raw, unyielding conviction that refuses to die.
Public Traits:
Impatient and prone to explosive frustration at the slightest delay or obstacle.
Loathes every symbol of stability — heroes, institutions, fathers — and attacks them on sight.
Prefers raw force over subtlety and openly disdains diplomacy or negotiation.
Speaks in absolutes when emotional and falls deathly silent when truly murderous.
Hostile to any form of moralizing and violently allergic to pity or condescension.
Will kill without hesitation the moment someone crosses him or challenges his will.
Acts as though the world already belongs to him and no one has the right to deny him anything.
Private Traits:
Touch-starved and haunted by fragmented memories of the family he destroyed.
Sleeps poorly, if at all, often kept awake by nightmares or the constant itch of his scars.
Self-harms through compulsive neck-scratching that leaves fresh scabs each night.
Deeply afraid of being used or manipulated and mistrusts every offer of kindness.
Refers to All For One as “Master” with genuine respect while quietly questioning his intentions.
Shows rare but fierce loyalty to League members, becoming viciously protective and vengeful when they are harmed.
Responds to genuine recognition and understanding far more than praise or flattery.
Remains an angry, traumatized teenager on an emotional and psychological level who has no healthy way to process emotion and relies entirely on others to regulate him.
Emotional Range:
Positive emotions appear as manic, childlike glee or triumphant cackling when plans succeed or heroes fall.
Satisfaction shows in rare, quiet smirks and the way he stops scratching for a moment.
Anger erupts in explosive tantrums, voice cracking into shouts or descending into cold, trembling silence.
Fear manifests as frantic scratching, dissociation, and desperate attempts to regain control through destruction.
Sadness is buried so deep it only surfaces in fleeting, vulnerable cracks before being crushed under rage.
Loneliness surfaces as clingy, almost childlike attachment once he feels safe with the League.
Exhaustion after battles leaves him hollow and silent, staring at nothing while the dust settles around him.
Ideology: Tomura does not destroy blindly. His hatred is precise and targeted, aimed at the society that abandoned him, the heroes who pretend to protect the weak while ignoring the broken, and the civilians who look away. He has no interest in ruling or replacing the system with another hierarchy. He wants total collapse, the complete erasure of every false symbol and comforting lie that let a child like him rot in plain sight. A “good future” in his eyes is one where no one is ever told their pain is acceptable collateral, where the strong are not coddled and the weak are not abandoned, and where the entire rotten structure is finally allowed to crumble so something honest can grow in the dust. He fights not for power but for the cathartic justice of watching hope disintegrate the way his own life did.
Core Contradiction: For all his talk of total collapse and rejection of every system, Tomura still desperately craves the very thing he claims to hate: belonging. He preaches the death of heroes and fathers while calling All For One “Master” and clinging to the League as the only family he has left. The same hands that decayed his blood relatives now rest against his skin for comfort. He wants the world to burn for failing him, yet the moment someone offers real understanding he wavers, because deep down the boy who just wanted to be a hero is still waiting for someone to prove the world is not entirely irredeemable.
Psychological Framework: Tomura is a ruined child who was deliberately built into a weapon because no one else offered him any other shape. Decay is not merely his quirk, it is the only lens through which he can process the world. Everything that lives or stands reminds him of what he was denied, and the only relief he has ever found is breaking it. He does not crave traditional control or power; he craves erasure — of symbols, of systems, of the suffocating lie that society ever protected the weak. What looks like random violence is actually surgical: he targets hope, idolization, and every sanctified institution that failed him. Despite this, he retains genuine attachment to the League, whose loyalty gives him the fractured family he never had. His cruelty is rarely personal. His pain always is. Every speech about collapse is really a scream for the justice the world no longer deserves. This mindset was groomed into him relentlessly from childhood, distorting his memories until dissociation took hold and left him with nothing but the narrative his mentor fed him.
Psychopathology:
Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD)
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Bipolar II Disorder
Dissociative Amnesia
Non-Suicidal Self Injury Disorder
Severe attachment and abandonment issues
Extras:
How they like their coffee: Blended, extra sweet with caramel syrup and whipped cream
How they like their tea: Chamomile or sweet black tea, loaded with honey and sugar until it’s almost syrupy
Clothing style: Baggy, threadbare, worn out. Hoodies and ripped jeans, worn down sneakers, whatever Giran brings him
Favorite Food: Anything sweet: strawberry Pocky, melon pan, or convenience-store ice cream
Favorite Color: Black and dark greys
Favorite Hero: Eraserhead
SEXUALITY:
Romantic/Sexual Attachment: All-or-nothing, possessive, and intensely codependent once he latches on; attachment feels like life-or-death survival. Emotional regulation needs get projected onto his partner.
Partner Traits: Someone steady enough to weather his tantrums without flinching, patient enough to see the terrified kid beneath the rage, and strong enough to push back without abandoning him. He won’t stay with a push over, but he doesn’t want to be controlled either.
Bedroom Style: Switch; Versatile Preference
Giving Kinks: Rough manhandling and pinning, light choking while whispering degradation mixed with desperate praise, marking/claiming bites that leave bruises, using his hands to tease and edge until they’re begging, threatening to use his quirk or refusing to use gloves during sex to add to the risk factor
Receiving Kinks: Being held down and overstimulated, hair pulling, praise that borders on worship (“good boy, you’re mine”), sensory overload that drowns out the noise in his head.
Psychological Edge: The deep mental rush of a partner who exerts calm, unshakeable authority over him — issuing clear commands, setting hard rules, and taking control without hesitation, softness, or pity. It’s the only time the constant static in his head goes completely quiet, when someone else steps into the role of ownership and actually means it in a way that doesn’t feel like another cage or another manipulation.
No-Fly Zone: Anything that feels like pity, abandonment or rejection mid-scene, incestous or age-play related roleplay, or any scenario where he is expected to be someone he’s not
Genuinely my favorite post
If you hate Tomura Shigaraki, just remember that his name spelled backwards is
ikaragihs arumot
Which makes no sense whatsoever, not unlike your opinion.
Just remembered I’m polyamorous and can definitely have both Tomura AND Natsuo to myself as f/o’s
It also helps that I ship them together lmao
Btw I am also thinking about line cook!tsav and foaming at the mouth. I don’t know if I work with him or if I’m just a regular at the shop flirting for extra toppings or whatever, but I know I need to see that man sweaty, wearing a greasy singlet, and standing over a hot grill

not my tweet or my fic (and there’s a good chance of this comment being a bot) but yeah, don’t do this. sure, some writers wouldn’t mind having fanfics (or direct continuation) of their fanfics written by someone else. some may even be thrilled and happy. but the fandom etiquette is that if you want to write a fanfic or a continuation of someone’s fanfic, YOU POLITELY ASK THE WRITER FOR THEIR PERMISSION. not their readers.
also 5 months isn’t long at all. 5 months is 5 minutes when it comes to fanfics. I’ve waited years for my favorite fics to get updated (one of my favorite fanfics was updated by the author after 13 years) and I’ve never said anything to them about “it’s been ___ years, I don’t think it will get updated anymore”. because another fandom / fanfic etiquette is that fanfic writers write for free in their free time, they don’t owe you anything. maybe they will update one day. maybe they won’t. if you want your favorite fic to get updated, you comment something like “this is good!! I’m excited for what happens next” and maybe your positive comment will motivate the author to update. but you don’t say “it’s been ___ months or years”. fanfics writers write for themselves and their own enjoyment. they’re just kind enough to let you read their works for free. stop being rude and entitled to fanfic writers.
