PREGNANCY

𖹭 Somehow even more protective than usual, which is an achievement.

𖹭 Extremely paranoid about anything happening to you or the baby.

𖹭 Any food you have aversions to suddenly becomes impossible to find. Magic, really.

𖹭 He's terrified of fatherhood. He doesn't think he's fit for it. Don't get me wrong, he wants it, and he's delighted. But he's afraid of messing up the kid, and of continuing the cycle of abuse.

𖹭 Despite his temperament, he makes an effort to be extra patient with you.

𖹭 He's also really considerate.

𖹭 Water? He has it. Food? He went out and bought all your favorites. Refresher? Right this way. You need a massage? He's ready immediately. Cravings? He'll be back with them soon. Emotional? He's suddenly the softest and most understanding. He validates your feelings, even if you cry over nothing. Nauseous? He'll make you something light to drink or eat. Throwing up? He'll hold back your hair and stay with you. Can't sleep? He'll whisper to you and run his fingers down your back until you fall asleep or morning comes.

𖹭 He still knows you're strong and capable, though, he won't coddle you—maybe unless you ask.

𖹭 He's also definitely not one to think less of you because you're carrying a baby. Quite the opposite—his respect for you grows significantly. Like, wow. You're so strong and amazing for literally creating life. Remember, he's from a matriarchal society.

𖹭 It's always mom over baby for him unless you specifically ask otherwise (and he'll struggle with that).

𖹭 He makes sure to spend even more time with you.

𖹭 You somehow become even more beautiful to him as your tummy grows, and it's very obvious.

𖹭 He gets you the best doctors (probably by force).

𖹭 And threatens your doctor a lot.

𖹭 Fair warning: he's likely to kill the guy—or at least wipe his memory with the Force or something—after everything.

𖹭 Because there's no way he's letting someone just walk around after they've seen his reactions to your first baby scan.

𖹭 He’s delighted no matter what sex the baby is (though he secretly wishes for a girl).

𖹭 Super patient about being woken up in the middle of the night, no matter the reason. In the first few seconds, he growls a bit, but once he realizes what's going on, he's the sweetest.

𖹭 At first, he finds talking to the baby a little silly, but soon you can't get him to stop. Like, come on, he's the king of monologues lmao

𖹭 Loves to lay his hand on your bump while cuddling, especially after your belly grows and the baby starts kicking.

𖹭 Loves resting his head on it as well.

𖹭 His hands shake a little the first time you go shopping for baby stuff. He'll deny it until his last day.

𖹭 Struggles a lot with his grip on reality at first. Like, there's no way this is real. There's no way he has YOU AND A BABY. This has to be a hallucination.

𖹭 Any—even the smallest—complication immediately causes him to spiral and panic.

BIRTH

𖹭 Really sweet during birth. Again, he's been raised — up until a certain point in a — in a matriarchal society. He has huge respect for you for doing this, and he'll be super helpful the whole time. Also, contrary to how easily angered he usually is, he'll be very patient this time, even as you yell at him.

𖹭 Great person to hold hands with while in pain, because his pain tolerance is through the roof, and he doesn't mind you squeezing like your life depends on it.

𖹭 Definitely not the kind of dad (jerk) to watch a holovid while you're suffering lol. He's there with you through the whole process unless you specifically ask him to leave. Also, he brings you whatever you need (read: gets others to bring it for him).

𖹭 Generally very private, so he'd prefer not to have too many people there, but he'll leave the final decision up to you.

𖹭 Obviously not bothered at all by the blood and general gore; don't expect him to pass out lol.

𖹭 Focused on you first and foremost.

𖹭 Although, when the baby finally comes, he's mesmerized.

𖹭 Stays by your side anyway, until you get handed the baby. And then just STARES in complete awe. That's a child. That's HIS child. And it's so tiny and perfect. All his worries evaporate for a moment, and he doesn't even realize he's crying until he feels the tears on his cheeks.

𖹭 Gets into bed with you — if you allow it — and cuddles you while gently stroking your baby with his thumb.

𖹭 It suddenly hits him VERY hard how lucky he is, and how much he has.

𖹭 Whispers how brave you were, and how well you did, and how perfect you and the baby are.

𖹭 Stays up while you sleep, watching over you both.
