          she had used the family visit for an excuse to go shopping. everything           on her body was brand new; she was out of place surrounded by people           who knew it. it was a vulnerable feeling, something she despised. rose            fixes the lace of her boot and follows emmett, hoping that he’s nicer            than the last redneck she ran into. 

Rosalie was turned in 1933, found Emmett in 1935, and (according to me & humoroustrength) the two married in 1940 for the first time.

1940. Dress. Groom. Cake World War One was taking over America’s economy, making material for clothing scarce and expensive. For her first wedding (excusing and promptly ignoring that she had planned most of her wedding to Royce in 1933), Rosalie preferred extravagance over simple. Carlisle, who gave away the bride for the ceremony, talked her down from the over-the-top decorations and parties. However, that didn’t stop her from getting the dress she wanted.

1950. Dress.  Cake. The dresses were shorter, women dared to show their ankles, and the cakes were taller. The music was faster, and guests picked up the pace at popular dives. Rosalie Thomas would marry Emmett Cullen under an awning at the largest catholic church in Raleigh, North Carolina.

1960. Dress. Cake.  Weddings went from black to white to popping in color, from women wearing light blue dresses to daring yellow veils and cat eye glasses. More weddings occurred in the outdoors under spring skies. Rosalie had yet to embrace that particular trend, but wore a blue ribbon in her hair with a tiara.

1970. Wedding photos.  The seventies were a groovy decade of their own, refusing to be labeled with any one style or design. Though Rosalie’s wishes are always considered to be ‘timeless’ or ‘classic’, Emmett’s wishes became more obvious in this decade’s nuptials. The DJ never stopped and most of their guests were high - but Rosalie admits this was one of her favorites.

1980. Wedding photos. Loud and proud - the sleeves, hair, and music were bigger and better. Rosalie’s least favorite decade and one of Emmett’s favorites, the party was bigger than the nuptials. (My parents were married in the 80′s. Rough decade, fashion wise. Ouch.)

1990. Wedding photos.  The large boom of the eighties dwindled to a slim roar. Dresses may have been thinner, but the flowers were just as big. Rosalie’s wedding was covering in roses, lace, and ended with a getaway to Ireland for the two ‘newlyweds’.

if you ever want to like, idk, be EXCLUSIVE with me, you can ALWAYS send me a message. I WANT to be EXCLUSIVE with people but I never know how to approach them. I HAVE IT in my mind that ‘yeah u right there…your [insert character] is the only one for ME! heart eyes motherfucker.’ It just makes things 10x easier if I knew that someone wanted to be like ‘hey i like u and u like me let’s just get on one knee and tie our shoes you dig?’ and i will totally dig. I’ve never had the exclusive rule before….I see a lot of people doing it and i think it’s the greatest thing. It puts ME at ease (bc i’m self conscious of other characterizations) AND i like building relationships IC & OOC.
